Reviews of Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital
"I came for an ER visit and felt very unsatisfied with the visit. To make matters worse, I then received a 13K visit for the ER because the registration office failed to use the insurance I had provided them at the time of my services. Calling the billing department for the last 2 days on hold for an average of 45 minutes to an hour and a half and no one answers or picks up the line. So I ended up having to drive back to the hospital from my work to reach a very sweet lady named Rosie who helped me sort out the hospital bill, but then informed me that likely I'd be receiving three additional bills that are not controlled by the hospital because my insurance was never appropriately updated. If this is the type of experience the hospital wants for their patients, I'm definitely never coming back or referring."
"I really should have know better but this is the closest ER to my house and I needed to get somewhere fast. They were quick to triage but then you are placed in a pool of people and left there. I eventually asked to have the iv taken out so I could leave and I was told "I can tell them but they won't come right away" 30 minutes later I left and had to do it at home myself. It felt like a jail rather than a hospital. They yell at you to lift your shirt etc. Horrible. Next time I know better and just get to the medical center."
"I just had my second baby here on the 16th and I loved it. From the moment I came in, in labor the nurses were so sweet and nice, I loved the way they cared for me and my princess. Down to the food service Ms.Kim was very sweet. I didn’t get the name for the two African American nurses that first assisted me when I was in labor but they were the best helping me stay calm and rubbing my back! Also Ms.Heather was the best at caring for me and my baby and checking in on our every need. Thank you all so much for the best care I could have received. It’s things you don’t ever forget!"
"So I have to be honest with my review to protect the well being of all mothers who give birth at this hospital. Let’s start from the beginning. Our first daughter was born here in 2021. We showed up to the hospital because my wife was having contractions, instead of admitting us they sent us home. 3 hours later we were back because my wife pain got even worse, there were no staff to help us at the front entrance, the elevator was broken and no signs to direct us to another elevator, my wife and I had to walk 4 flights of stairs to make it to labor and delivery, SHE WAS 9 MONTHS PREGNANT . Doctors and nurses during the birth process was not listening to my wife when she said she couldn’t breath and was in pain and ultimately I had to be her advocate to make sure she gave a safe birth because no body seemed like they cared about her well being. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE FIRST BIRTH EXPERIENCE. baby number 2: we was told to show up at the hospital to have my wife induced at 5am. They told us to come 2 hours early. So we came at 3am simply following directions and they told us to wait in the lobby for 2 hours. In my mind I was like why come 2 hours early to just wait around. 30 min to 5am we were notified that there were no beds available. Absolutely ridiculous! One person told us it was because an emergency birth came up, and another person told us it was because rooms were not clean. So which one was it? I did not appreciate not only the stress they put my wife through, but also the sleep she lost prior to birthing a baby. We did not get admitted until 12 hours later. Although I did like the staff and doctors this time around, I still did not like the experience they put us through prior to birth because it was just as bad as the experience we had at the hospital with our first born. So ultimately I don’t advise anyone to give birth at this hospital because of poor organization and and possibility to poor staff ."
