"You get what you pay for. This hotel is relatively cheap. The elevators are slow and the break down, so be ready to wait in line to get to your room from the lobby. The surrounding area has really deteriorated, lots of vacant retail/restaurants. But nice being close to Central Park. Sad compared to years ago."
"I am not giving this one star because I have been in some hotels worse than this place and because the room was not dirty. However, this place maintains only the absolute bare minimum of cleanliness and services for it to be thinkable to stay here. The towels were white and clean but had holes worn in them from too many years of use. The sheets were paper thin and the mattresses sagged in the middle. Some of the light switches did not work and the cold water knob fell off in the shower. There were no bed bugs in my room, but I will certainly book another hotel next time I'm in town."
"Reading all the Yelp reviews had me a bit worried. Nothing over a star because one guest said he couldn't rate it any lower. When I arrive at the front desk there's a young man at the desk helping a guest check in waited about 7-8 minutes. When a women quest comes running in the lobby and slams her bags in the chair and screams I'm not happy this is unacceptable. My two friends who were with me go running out the door to tell another friend waiting outside what's going on. I'm thinking oh great everything the reviews said were right, cone to here her story the code to parking area was wrong and the key she had wasn't working She was lost and at wrong room! Now it's my turn the clerk was very nice and helpful. Long story short the rooms are old but they are clean and pleasant bathrooms are fine they serve there purpose no frills if you looking for a great deal and not fussy about cosmetics the is the place for you.iIf your the kind to complain about the little things go down the street and stay at the Hilton and pay over four times as much. Great value for the location."
"On a last minute decision, my family and I (2 adults, 3 kids, and a baby) decided to stay another night in Ft Worth cause we didn't realize how big the Zoo was. Funds were a little tight, but we wanted downtown, close to the Amtrak station. We spoke with Michelle and she booked us a good deal. Upon arrival, we were greeted with big smiles and was upgraded us to a suite, due to the size of our family, which was wonderful! And they even gave us a late check out since we didn't have to catch the Amtrak until 5:00 that evening. This is an older hotel, BUT very nice and clean, with an AMAZING staff!! They also knew the area well, even if it was finding a store to get baby food or diapers. I will most definitely stay at this hotel again if I am ever in the Ft Worth area and will be more than glad to recommend Park Central Hotel to anyone!! Thank you Park Central Hotel, Michelle, and the rest of the staff, for being so kind and making us feel at home during our stay with you! Keep up the excellent work!!"
"Yes, it is old and dated. No, I did not enjoy complimentary internet access. But I felt the customer service was outstanding. My room was clean. The water was hot. The water pressure was the highest I've ever experienced in a hotel! I stayed there for a convention so my days were very full and I was only in my room to sleep. I wouldn't want to take my kids there, but it was fine for what I needed on that trip. Nothing was luxurious, but it wasn't a complete dump. There was an elevator. Just keep in mind that what bothers me may not bother you. So it just depends on what you want in a hotel. The more posh the room, the higher the price tag. This room was pricey for the condition (109.00/night), but it was directly across the street from the Convention Center. So I didn't need a shuttle, bus, taxi or parking garage to get back and forth. I could quickly and easily duck into my room during breaks from my meetings if I wanted to. I would stay there again. It was not a bad experience, in my opinion. I think they could easily put new carpet, curtains & linens in each room and make it feel nicer. The biggest complaint that I have about my room was the a/c never got cool enough. But they gave us electric fans to set up which helped. The staff was very courteous and that goes a long way with me."
