"This place is awesome!!…it was my first time coming here and I love it!… I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!!…. This place is great for the entire family the Nueces river is crystal clear and it is very clean…. No trash or beer cans and bottles anywhere!… the campground is great and the cabins are wonderful!…, all the amenities that make your stay comfortable….like I said I highly recommend this place… it also has trails to explore and a small zoo with exotic wildlife….I can’t say enough about this place….you need to come visit!…."
"The river was beautiful! RV spot would've liked a little bigger, but had a beautiful view. The bathrooms were horrible, we had our RV restroom but sometimes it was occupied so we tried to use the public one,it was early morning so they need to be cleaned often. Take extra canopy because there's no trees on RV sites. Other than that we had a great time. The front desk personnel were great!"
"I didn't go in any of the cabins but, from the outside, they don't look like they've been updated this century. The whole place looks tired. We had checked on an RV spot and they wanted $120 per night which we thought was high and after seeing the barren spot that is the RV park, we were grateful we found a nicer, less expensive place in a nearby town. That said, the river swimming area is beautiful and the park is clean. All the dumpsters were at capacity, but very little trash on the ground. If you like solitude and have four wheel drive there is a whole mile+ section of the river available to you where you can be alone with cool clear water. The entrance fee was $20 per person, high, but worth it for the day."
