"Oh My Goodness...I can not say enough nice things about 3 Peas. They catered our daughter's wedding in Sept. and did a great job! Sarah, Teresa, Cindy and their crew were awesome. We had a wedding budget and the crew worked with us to give our daughter and son in law a wonderful reception. Many of the wedding guest have commented on how delicious the food was and the desserts were unbelievable. They even made a gluten free cake for me and it was so yummy!! "I'm disappointed that my family's communication with Sarah/3 Peas in a Pod has reached a point where I have to write a negative review; in the months leading up to my wedding I had no doubt in my mind that I had chosen a great caterer. 3 Peas in a Pod catered my August 2018 wedding at Buffalo Trace Distillery. They came highly recommended by the distillery and had great reviews, which provided me some comfort in choosing vendors when living across the country. For the most part, my communications with the team up until the event were good - sometimes email responses took awhile but Sarah and I seemed to be on the same page about things. We talked through my menu multiple times, and of all the things I thought might go wrong on my wedding day, the catering was definitely not on that list. 1) Appetizers were served at a station, not passed like we agreed upon. This created a huge line down the middle of my venue, and not all of my guests got to eat. It also delayed our planned timeline. Sarah and I had agreed upon appetizers being passed, this did not happen. In addition to this, after my wedding, I learned that: 2) Meat options for dinner ran out, again not all of my guests were able to eat the full menu - which is a shame because the food was truly very good. 3) We paid for a full bar, and the bar did not have (as detailed in my invoice) lemons, limes, garnishes, stir sticks, etc. As someone who works in the customer service field I understand that the appropriate and professional way to work with a disappointed customer is to be sympathetic and understanding, however, this is not how things were handled. When we reached out to communicate our concerns things got significantly worse. Sarah was incredibly rude to both me and my family, claiming that I should have selected less entree choices if I wanted everyone to eat. Since she is the catering professional (not me), I would expect her to be able to anticipate and bring up potential challenges in our planned menu. We had ten fewer guests than what was on our final count, so in no way should we have ran out of food. Sarah's correspondence with my family has been nothing but rude and downright inflammatory at times, including messages in all capital letters and citing things that we never agreed upon (I have a year and a half's worth of emails as our correspondence, as she never once talked to me on the phone). If I had known this was going to be our experience, particularly after the wedding, I would have without a doubt chosen a different caterer - it would have been worth the extra cost to be treated with professionalism and respect."
