Big John Movers

"I had a really negative experience with this company. I had three movers to go from a studio apartment to a two-bedroom house. They took 5.5 hours at the studio apartment, and the move in total was 8 hours. The locations are 8 minutes apart. It should have been closer to half that time. My mother and I watched a worker take one couch cushion at a time. They are paid by the hour, so it was really frustrating to feel like they were running up the clock. Additionally, they carried the boxes on their backs and ended up breaking a lot of stuff. One box was so badly damaged that I had to sign off on it. Then, they broke a box from my kitchen which had olive oil in it. It burst and leaked through to three other boxes on the truck. The last part that was extremely frustrating is that they left so much food garbage, I received a call from my previous apartment to come clean it to avoid fines. There were bottles, cans, white castle, you name it. And it wasn't in a particular spot, it was inside my old apartment and down several hallways of the complex. They had just thrown it in the floor. I really wished I had raised my voice at the time, but I will settle for this review. I do not recommend this company at all."

They were careful and considerate with all of my stuff and got everything put exactly where I wanted and they were super efficient. Their price was more than fair, especially based on the other quotes I got. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for movers in the future."

I've had plenty of mediocre moving companies over the years, but I wanted something more reliable. I went with Big John's due to the rave reviews, and I am so glad I hired them! They must be one of the best moving companies out there. I can't sing enough praise for my crew -- Shane, Drew, and Nate offered stellar customer service, took care of my belongings, and were so friendly! Shout out to the team; you guys made my move so much less stressful and were fun to chat with. They had to wait for almost an hour at the Uhaul facility for paperwork/access to Ubox Containers, but they were so patient. I would highly recommend Big John Movers for anyone who prioritizes efficiency and reliability for a big/complex move. The cost was a little higher than some other companies, but the service was definitely worth it. If you get lucky enough to land on Shane, Drew, and Nate, you'll be as lucky as I was to have an awesome crew."
