"Initially, my experience was amazing with Dr. Subbaswamy and her PA. Raved about her to my Husband so he went to her also. First couple of interactions were very prickly...she tends to roll her eyes when talking to you, which is very annoying. Here lately, I went and saw the PA due to a blocked ear. Found out I had an ear infection and was given an antibiotic. Called all last week to try to find out what else could be done beyond me having to incur more expense by having to take time off work and go in again...no symptoms have changed...ear is still plugged. No return calls...Crickets....Nothing! So, the only reason I even switched to her was because it was closer than my previous Dr in Lexington. Well, going back to my other Dr in Lexington as she is WORTH the drive. They REALLY care about their patients! They actually have a HUMAN answer the phone at my other Dr's office instead of the prompt hell you go through to get to talk to the office staff to leave a message that is ignored. Has really ruined my opinion of Baptist Health services as not only did this office fail me, so did one of their little clinics that is also a Baptist Health."
"One of the best doctors I have had.very attentive and thorough."
"I’m a rather new patient of Dr. Subbaswamy. I had an adjustment period (and she to me, I believe). After using her for some months now, I think our interactions are usually positive. The first visit I had with her she was a bit prickly. However, at subsequent visits I’ve found her to be thorough and compassionate. My husband sees her also. She remembers our separate histories and our social situation when I see her. She has had the social worker call us to check on us in between appointments a couple of times. I am happy there at this point. This is her first job after graduation and I think she’s doing well by her patients."
"She has a very nice bedside manner, however she misdiagnosed my problem. I went to another doctor who has humbly admitted he doesn’t know what my issue is at the moment but is working to find out what the problem is. I also had a car accident 9 years ago which has resulted in many attempts at physical therapy and chiropractic care. Chiropractic care does much to improve the pain, but yearly or bi-yearly it does go out to the point where I cannot walk. Requiring heavy pain killers. I go to my new doctor. He pulls my records, does a drug test on me, sees I do not have a history of drug use and gives me the medicine I need. I DO NOT ask for these medications because I have a deep respect for them and I’ve lived years without them. I know what they have done to people and their families. Yet, the older I get and the longer I deal with this problem; ibuprofen isn’t cutting it. Dr. Subbaswamy would have cost me another few months of physical therapy (which has done nothing for me in the past) and a pain clinic for something I need maybe once or twice a year for emergencies. *(This could have been the X-ray technicians mistake) Apurva could not seem to find the broken bone floating around in my spine. Scar tissue has isolated it, however, it’s a piece of bone. floating. behind my spine. How can you tell me no fraction has occurred when I have had multiple X-rays done by a MD, orthopedic surgeon, and the two different chiropractors I’ve seen and they’ve all found that and the compression fracture? I know doctors say chiropractors aren’t really doctors but.. apparently they’re great radiologists. Also her nurse blew my vein when taking my blood. I’m being generous with my two stars, they’ve costed me quite a bit of money."
