Dr. Ron L. Humphrey, MD

"Dr. Humphrey is a nice guy, and he said that he takes his job seriously. There are good things about him. I've had two appointments and have decided to find a new doctor because: - I have waited more than two hours each time. A doctor who doesn't care about your time, doesn't care about your health. The second time I asked why we were held up and it was because he decided to update his operating system on his computer in the middle of the day. His receptionist was as unhappy about this as his patients as she said it meant she would have to stay late. So I know he wasn't just backed up or running behind. That is indicative of poor management decisions. - His humor interferes with the quality of his care. He attached a note to my prescriptions that confused the pharmacy. It took them an extra 40 minutes trying to call him to find out what it meant and they never reached him so they sent me home with prescriptions they knew were safe. The not said "Write directions in Arabic." I assume that was supposed to be a joke of some kind. Neither I or the pharmacist got it. - He sent prescriptions for things he did not tell me about. He told me he was sending in two prescriptions, the pharmacist had to ask me why I needed two extra prescriptions and I had no idea. Once again, they could not contact him to find out so I went home with the two that they knew were safe. In short I waited an excessive amount of time on both visits and went home scratching my head.
