"I had a poor experience in trying to treat my son here once he was diagnosed with ADHD. In working to adjust his medication after the first one they recommended gave my son suicidal thoughts, the doctor could not be bothered to check our insurance plan to see what medications are covered, so after I took the rx to the pharmacy I learned my insurance wouldn't fill it but because this doc office doesn't do electronic rxs I had to drive back to the office to pick up the new rx. Upon taking the new rx to CVS they noticed that the rx was not signed! So I had to drive back again for a signed rx. When I had called the nurse line to tell her about this mistake she did not apologize and was short and stiff with me. Upon bringing this rx in, the pharmacy found that the doc did not write what time the school dose should be given so they advised me to contact the doc and get them to authorize a certain time be added to the label- I feel like a pediatrician should have known that (my new doc did). So I had to call the doc and wait for them to call the pharmacist to authorize the label rewrite. I was on the verge of tears by the time this nightmare was over. When I went to our next appt with the doc and reminded her to please sign the rx and write the time the meds should be taken she said "well that was because of all the prescription changes". Again, no apology. She's the type of doc who always has her hand on the doorknob. One time I asked if we could talk about a second concern and was told the doc only had time for one issue today so I needed to choose which I wanted to address that day. I am now taking my kids to East Louisville Pediatrics and love how much time the doctors take with my children."
