Reviews
"We visited several other options in town before joining Mission Martial Arts a year ago. The Manwell family and other instructors are friendly and understanding, and communication is excellent. The new dojang is wonderful and the instructors are kind, patient, and skilled. The online learning resources are well-produced and helpful. And the billing process is also easy and fair; and any reviews that suggest otherwise should be disregarded. There are a considerable number of family members (of varying ages) who train together, and the diversity of age, ethnicity, and skill is inspiring. I trained in my youth, and my return (after 36 years) has been warm and welcoming...and great exercise! Its been an enjoyable and rewarding learning experience to share with my youngest son, and we look forward to training together at MAA for years to come."
"My daughter started in their Tiny Tigers program more than 3 years ago. I decided to join her since I was sitting there watching anyway. I’m amazed at the growth and maturity that she has gained from her taekwondo journey. As an adult learner, I have also grown in overcoming my nervousness in leading some instruction. The Manwells, as well as the other instructors, are invested in each student’s success. Mission Martial Arts is a family passion for them and it shows in every way. I am glad that we found this school and hope to join the roster of black belt achievers soon."
"My daughter enjoys Mission Martial Arts so very much. She has benefited tremendously in so many ways. We are so glad to have her involved with such a quality and constructive program that will equip her with invaluable life skills. Thank you for what you all do! Would highly recommend this program!"
"My 13 yo son and I (55 yo) started at MMA 14 mos ago, quickly surmising that the owners and other instructors were committed to excellence by example. My 16 yo daughter decided to join in 11 mos later. We are highly supported as individuals and as a family. Many other parents take with their kids, and there are about as many women black belts as men. The Dojang is clean and bright. Classes start and end on time. The black belt instructors are encouraging and skilled. TKD has improved my stamina, flexibility, core strength and normal muscle condition (reduced tension and ‘knots’). We enjoy practicing together at home! It is lots of fun!! I could not recommend the Manwell’s and Turner’s and MMA any more highly. Sign up your kiddo and yourself; you will be so glad you did!"
"Mission Martial Arts has been a great experience over my last 5 years. It has impacted my life a ton with being in it as a kid and young teen. It’s very family friendly and not only teaches how to defend yourself but teaches manners and the tenets. I have had so many good experiences with my instructors and love how Black Belts my age get the privilege to help instruct in certain areas."
