Reviews of George Rogers Clark Homesite
"Excellent views, accidentally educational, plenty of places to rest, or bring a lunch, and river/skyline views of Louisville. Worth the visit."
"Pretty spot. He chose a great place to build his home. Just a great overlook of the River. Peaceful, quiet. What would make it better is to have more signage with info. I didn't know what I was looking at specifically. I still don't know. Like what was the small building that is still standing used for? Even Google doesn't say. I had to Google to find out almost everything about that spot. Apparently a fire took out the house and all that is left is the chimney. I found out via Google. Not having signs isnt a negative but would make it nicer. Either way, it's just really a pretty spot ."
"Love this river side park. Great place to watch the sun set."
"It is nice having a historical landmark in this area. However, it was disappointing to see how deteriorated the structures were. They were fenced off when I visited, most likely because of the concern of it falling over. The lookout opportunities were great to see the river though! The neighboring park and road was also closed. It appears that they were recently washed out."
"I stumbled across this place while taking a drive around New Albany and was not disappointed. The landmark itself is small but is located across from Louisville on the Ohio River. The views are amazing as are the sunsets!"
