"I have only had one appointment but everything from the start of getting an appointment to the actual appointment as been so smooth, everyone i have spoken to has been so nice and helpful! This resource is such a HUGE deal for those that struggle with mental health! I can’t speak for everyone’s experience but mine has easily been a 5 star experience this far!"
"This place has saved me! Idk what I would do without them. You can have a video visit in the comfort of your own home!"
"They are always so accommodating to schedules and helping you reschedule when life happens. I'm starting with a new therapist soon, after a dry spell of not utilizing this amazing opportunity. My last therapist made me so comfortable to open up and share with her whether it was snuggled up in a blanket in my home or in a rush running errands.. and if you've had history with bad medication, they use GeneSight to make sure a medication will be more effective. 10/10 would recommend!"
"I do not recommend bringing your child to see Amanda Smith. We had 5 appointments with her with zero help. 3 were one on one with my daughter, 2 with my daughter and myself. My daughter is 10 and shared with me how her one on one went with me openly. They were geared to asking basic questions while playing games. I’m not saying playing games is bad but the experience didn’t target why we were there to begin with. We would finish a game less than half way through the appointment and Amanda was scrambling to figure out how to finish the rest of the appointment. Notes were not once taken at any of these appointments. No direction on how to improve the behavior issue we were dealing with. ZERO advice was given. I had our last appointment just before school started and was going to schedule more after I knew our kids sport schedule. However today was our family (my daughter and myself) appointment and I asked about not seeing any improvements and what direction things were going. She had no response to my concerns and clearly no game plan either. I knew going into this appointment it would most likely be our last and it was. Amanda told my 10 year old daughter she had no desire to change. No brainstorming on a different approach, zip, nada. Amanda did nothing but give my daughter a horrible first taste with a therapist and left feeling bad horrible about herself. Why would you ever tell a child to their face they have no desire to change when you didn’t do your job? We seemed your professional help and you did nothing. We clearly was just an appointment to fill her day and make money. Save yourself and child the trouble and avoid Amanda Smith."
"My therapist is wonderful, no complaints there. However, If you need to talk to someone for anything, you arent going to be able to. They will not communicate by phone. They lost my appointment and I've been messaging with them all morning waiting 30 minutes sometimes in between messages to try to have one single conversation. Hours later, I still don't have an appointment (I was scheduled for recurring appointments 4 months ago and now they are just apparently gone). This idea of sending a chat to talk to someone is only OK when it's something simple. That's great for confirming an appointment, or for making sure that you have the right time, or something like that; but not for a conversation. A conversation should be done by phone, this is business office. Not being able to see my provider, and not being able to figure out what happened to my appointment and get one rescheduled leaves me with no choice but to just seek counseling elsewhere. I had a very difficult time getting my very 1st appointment set up, and it took several months to get in. Now with the holiday breaks I'm looking at more than 2 month's time, when I need weekly therapy. They may want to take another look at their mission statement because losing people's appointments, not working with them to make new appointments, messaging them and then not replying to their messages for hours, and the inability is just talk to someone and figure out what's going on and find a solution, does not help people's mental health."
