"If I could give zero stars I would. Let me preface this by saying my son received too notch life saving care from his doctors and nurse at UofL trauma center, top notch. He was then taken to Frazier, this is after a GSW to the neck that left him a quadriplegic with a trach and feeding tube. Paralyzed from the chest down. While in their care the only real progress he made was they taught him to feed himself, strengthened his neck and removed his feeding tube. He had a handful of good nurses and good PCAS, as well as a couple of good unit secretaries and the therapist were pretty good. Now let’s talk about cons. He lost 40 pounds while in their care, it was two weeks before he ever even saw a nutritionist there. He left with a Stage 4 pressure ulcer with osteomyelitis (this could kill him) While he was there is family was visiting staff would not do their jobs and expected family to do everything. They let him lay in his own urine and feces for hours. They did not turn him every two hours. They maybe showered him twice a week if he was lucky. He described as being treated like an animal. They would not apply his prescribed lotions to his extremities, after being there for 4 weeks I was able to scrape a cup of dead skin from his feet. He would have to wait hours for medication. He has an injured arm that is extremely painful and they never figured out why. He ended up with a uti and fungal infection in his bladder because of them straight cathing hik without proper technique. He rarely saw a wound care nurse even thought they knew he had a wound and the most of the nurses never assessed his wound properly nor did they change his dressing right. I had to do a ton of discharge planning legwork to get him home. Continuity of care is pisspoor. And the food is absolutely disgusting. Dr. Castillo gives patients “come to Jesus” threatening talks if they aren’t progressing like he wants, but he never actually does an assessment on them. When I found his wound three days prior to discharge the team including Dr. Castillo admitted it was their fault and they had made a mistake. They were literally just going to discharge him home with this! Never ever ever go here. Go anywhere else"

"Frazier Rehab was wonderful in the care they gave my daughter. She was there before brain surgery and after the brain surgery. They are restricted by reimbursement/registrations concerns and cannot always do what the families want BUT they do try to give caring and concerned treatment. As the first nurse in Kentucky to be a board certified patient advocate I can tell you, the 7-14 day of rehab there are precious if your insurance will approve it!"

"Doctors, Nursing, and PT staff were tip-top. The nursing assistants were inconsistent and at times simply rude. I addressed this with the floor director on floor 10 & he corrected it. Dr. Castillo and his team were wondering. The case staff were diligent in helping Us. Jo and Dana with PT were the absolute best! Thank you good people for taking good care of my Wife."
