Goodwill Houston Select Stores

"This message needs to go to ALL stores everywhere! Books, CDs, movies, tapes, etc need to be stacked HORIZONTALLY so we can easily & quickly read them. Not stacked VERTICALLY where we have to turn our heads sideways – then discomfort after 2 minutes. Then, to add insult to injury, they put a price tag over the title so we can’t read it. Duhhh. Common sense folks…"

"I came here to waste time and see if I had any luck finding anything cute. The parking was ridiculous. People fighting over a parking spot even! There was zero parking and people also filled the side of the road and the back parking lot. I was eventually able to find a spot behind the store and I just walked around to enter the store. It was super super packed. The dressing rooms were left open so I kind of liked that since I didn't have to wait for someone to come unlock it. However I noticed a lot of hangers in there laying around so I can only imagine how many people just steal their items due to nobody monitoring the dressing rooms. Eventually I went to check out and the line was extremely long! I waited literally 25 mins to get to my turn and even had to tell myself to not just leave instead of waiting any longer. While just getting in the line though, I overheard an older white woman who had just checked out guests tell the older black woman working next to her how much she can't stand people and they just annoy her. The black woman agreed stating that she didn't like dealing with them. Insane! If I could hear that, everyone else could! Thankfully I got a younger black woman who was a sweetheart! Thank you to her! Things here were also kind of expensive for it to be a resale shop. $6 a top. That's a little high to me. Overall I don't want to ever come back."

"I’ve always gone here but it’s gotten super overpriced. It’s literally more than retail now, which is ridiculous. A pyrex tupperware without its lid is $5 when you can buy a whole set for $20. A random bowl was $25. A vase was $30. Clothes were up to $20 a piece. Cmon now… Goodwill gets DONATIONS, their goods are free. I’ve seen items with it’s original price tag and goodwill prices it for more. I’ve also donated but I would rather donate elsewhere now where it’s priced reasonably for those who need it."

"This place is well organized and has some awesome hidden goodies if you take the time to look! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well. There's not much parking at busy times but there's available street parking beside it. Plenty of awesome books and DVDs too. Plus there's daily deals!"
