"Wish i also would have came and read all of these reviews before attending…. Wow… spring semester 2024 here and as others have said on here the enrollment process, getting placed in the correct classes, and especially financial aid and every step of that process has been a nightmare…. In 2024 reading reviews about people have the same issues as me 4 years ago should tell you everything you need to know about attending here…. It is an absolute last option school… they are terrible.. the teachers ive had are really great and helpful. Every other aspect of this school ESPECIALLY emailing anyone for help, even their “specialist “ is a waste of your time. I assure you."
"I wish I would have read the stars before applying to this school. I’ve been trying to apply to this school for a month. I’ve called numerous times and have done everything on my part but not a single person will call me back. School is already starting and I might have to miss this entire semester due to their lack of communication."
"It's best you never come here. Some of the short tempered staff should go back to elementary school and develop some learning skill before they take on trying to conduct a college. Some of the ones I ran into today and mainly the one over a phone have the mindset of a child and should be removed. All though the lady's today we're quite nice and helpful. But overall atmosphere is very jaded and calloused. As warm as a block of ice on the north pole."
"I wish I could give no stars. This whole process has been a nightmare. I am 6 days away from starting my first semester at JCTC and they cannot get my FASFA to connect to my account leaving me no option but to drop out or pay upfront $2300+ for this first semester. I also (6 days before school starts) just recieved an email from one of my professors stating that in order to take the class I'm currently enrolled in I would also have to take another before or along with my current course. Mind you, all of your courses for the first semester are set up by someone from the school to help you get started in Gen Ed courses. So the fact that the person helping schedule classes also did not know I needed this other class first is just miscommunication all around. Which is scary for someone who has to pay out of pocket."
"DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME. getting your pre recs is the only reason id attend this school. I went here for nursing and the teachers don't help you learn anything, even my success coach is a joke. Every time I met with her I asked her what else I can do to improve my grade and she couldn't give me an answer. The exam answers conflict with the text book readings, even when I showed my teacher why I chose the answer I did she gave me no answer as to why her answer was correct and the textbook was wrong. I strongly feel that the teachers bully all of the students, nobody in this program feels like they can address an issue without consequences. Clinical were also awful, she constantly changed the times so we came in super late. Every time I (or another student) had an opportunity to learn something my instructor would make me go get ice or something else unimportant. I am also an ARC student and every time I take an exam people are outside my door laughing and talking, I've asked multiple times for them to be quiet but nobody cares. Nobody in this program actually teaches or wants to help the students, I am also not the only one who feels this way. I understand nursing isn't easy but I spend all my time studying and completely understand the material but then the test answers aren't what the book say is correct. The lectures don't even have enough information in them to just go by that and they specifically tell us to go off of what the textbook says. Lesli, Lori, and Kelly are really the only teachers who have helped me in this program."
