"This man left us without a working furnace the entire winter despite multiple emails and calls. I should have called Code really. When he finally sent someone who actually knew what they were doing and were certified, it was just a blown fuse. Our kitchen sink was messing up, got my own plumber in here and turns out, they were using restroom hoses for the kitchen. Everything was installed poorly. This place is infested with bugs, and now there's rodents always having a party in the attic every night. Emailed to no avail. Still haven't heard anything. The unit itself is okay, but he needs to start caring about his tenants. We pay on time never miss, and don't cause trouble. It's ridiculous how bad we've been treated."
"For the past two years, I have resided at Forest Creek. It has been a wonderful experience thus far. I at first was very troubled about some perplexing past reviews. But I decided to give it a chance. I have never been disappointed by any part of the property or staff. Honestly, the staff are some of the greatest assets to this property!! They are always there 24/7 for any situation that may arise and they are very pleasant to deal with. The pricing for these units is incredible for Lexington. The only downside to this property is that pets are not allowed due to tenant issues in the past. If I could change one thing it would be to allow residents who are more responsible to own pets, but of course, that brings on many other problematic issues. There are no amenities at this location beyond a mail-box. That is one way they are able to maintain the properties' quality without costly market-rate prices for rent. One thing I do hope for over the next few years would be updated interiors as some things are becoming dated, but not the greatest issue by far. I look forward to many more years in my home and I can happily say that this is the best place I have ever lived in Lexington. Prior to this experience, I lived in gated communities with all the amenities. I had to adjust my priorities to meet my needs and I have come to the realization that I have given up nothing important to make this feel like home. Feel free to come check the property out and tell them I sent you. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed! -Zachary."
"I have rented properties from Arnold Real Estate for almost 5 years. The rent amount is reasonable. Any maintenance issues have been taken care of in a very timely manner. The management staff at Forest Creek Apartments and Laredo townhomes have been relatively friendly and are usually available when needed. They are really big on enforcing the rules of the lease, such as mowing the grass on time, being respectful of your neighbors, etc... I have never really had any problems. As long as you pay your rent on time and follow the guidelines listed in the lease, you’ll fit in with the community just fine. Jim (the owner/CEO) is fairly personable and only approves new tenants who are of good character and who have a history of being responsible renters, meaning your neighbors are usually good, decent people/families. I would recommend this place to anyone with a good rental history and friendly attitude."
"The electric bill was the deal-breaker for me. I was in a basement apartment... and had no warning that I would be the only person heating and cooling the ENTIRE basement for a year until another person moved in. AC wasn't bad but the first heat bill exceeded 4 months' total billing at my previous apartment. I cut the heat to 65 at first and then 60, had to wear a coat indoors to have an affordable bill. Also theirs was the first lease I had seen that specified just how much they could increase the rent the next year - a large percentage. It was actually increased about nine percent but by that time I was looking for a better place. And why would they renovate the kitchen appliances but leave the falling-apart 1970s cabinets in place?"
"My husband and I rented from Mr. Arnold for 3 years. We were always timely in our payments and always made them aware of issues early on. Our water heater exploded and soaked our carpet and even the 2nd floor. Mr. Arnold took the expenses of carpet cleaning out of our deposit even though we had no control over the water heater or the carpet damage."
