Reviews
"Solid muni course. I typically play early morning (sunrise) before the gun range next door opens up. So quiet and peaceful. Can be very challenging if struggling off the tee box. But hard to beat the price. Greens were pretty good. A few holes struggling to drain all the rain. All in all, it’s a good deal."
"I can only give a review on the driving range and the chipping/putting greens. The driving range is like every other public golf course in DFW. They rotate the driving range area to take care of the grass. The only thing I wish they did have is more seating benches under a roof for breaks. There are no evening hours, therefore they have no lights. So last drive is before sunset. I'm used to the Northeast where driving ranges are open till midnight and offer Roofing, fans, and lights with marked target areas that are color coordinated with big bold numbers. In TX, it looks like you're hitting a ball into a desert not knowing how many yards and there's no fun with that. Lacks target. Lots of room for improvement. The chipping and putting green is just one big green with two flag holes in different areas that offer plenty of room to chip and put. It offers a challenging slope as well. As for the 18 hole course. I have not played it yet as we only come here for my sons First Tee session. Luna road which is the road to the golf course, needs major improvement. The road is too narrow and looks like half the road was broken or shaved off for a two car lane to drive. Hence, seems like some construction company just dumped dirt/gravel all over the road making it dusty when you drive through. In addition, there are big pot holes in the middle of the road. The city of Irving is over looking this hazard Road. Oh, and No street lights at night either. It's just a road waiting for an accident to happen. So drive carefully, when you're coming to this golf course."
"We brought our group to Luna Vista last Saturday and had an absolute blast! The greens were in great shape, the fairways were nice, and the course was well-managed. The gentlemen in the pro shop were incredibly patient and helpful, especially considering there were a couple of last-minute fires to put out. We will definitely be back. Thanks guys!!"
"I played here today with the guys from Double Bogey golf. I was really impressed with the condition of the course… Especially since the 2023 summer has been so brutal. The greens were super clean. The fairways were green and the tee boxes were well-maintained. The staff was awesome. We had a pretty good size group and they were really accommodating. This course does make you think a bit. Just when you think water isn’t in Play… You put one off the side of the fairway and you’re dropping a golf ball. Don’t be too proud to take a shorter club off the Teebox. The green fees are reasonable and the beverage cart and snack bar are well-stocked. Don’t forget to bring cash… The beverage cart doesn’t take cards."
