"I LOVE Publix and have filled my prescriptions here since they opened. I travel for work so I am home one week a month. One week. So that week is when I need to get my meds for the month. It has worked for years. Recently it's been an issue with one medication. So the doctors office called and APPROVED the early fill AGAIN I travel for work. They REFUSED to fill it. So as I work 12 hours a day when I TRAVEL FOR WORK, I had to have the doctor call in a prescription to NEW MEXICO. I had to take off work to go pick it up. It was literally 2 days early. Not to mention getting a lecture for pushing the call button at the drive thru. Im sorry when coming off of working 21 12 hour days and traveling home Im a little tired. These folks lack empathy, care, and compassion. I was a pharmacy technician in college, I get the struggles of the job, but I knew my patients. ESPECIALLY the ones who were long term. Not all controls are abused, some are used to wake folks up who have sleep apnea. The ignorance in this pharmacy is abundant."
"Was a good pharmacy when they 1st opened, however this has changed greatly over time. Have had so many issues with prescriptions and the wishy washy excuses from the lady pharmacist is ridiculous. One day she tells you one thing and the next time she tells you something completely different. She makes up their own rules such as when they feel compelled to refill your prescription at her (lady pharmacists) approval. Used the app had 3 prescriptions refilled, received a message they were ready. Saw that only 2 were refilled, no one called to give me an update and no information why the other wasn't done. Tried calling the phone was answered, no one said anything and they put me on hold. Went to the pharmacy to speak with them as I have had this issue before and it is a glitch with your app. (I was pulling into the parking lot of Publix when this occurred.) Walked to the counter and there were 6 people standing around talking behind the counter, but couldn't answer the phone. Asked them about my prescriptions. The worker helping me said, I'm not sure why your prescription wasn't refilled, give us about 45 minutes. The lady pharmacist began looking over the employees shoulder and then stated its to early to get refilled. I said its only 4 days early. Giving her an odd look. I have been taking this for years and you have refilled this many times over a week early. (I travel a lot and sometimes have to go out at the last minute have received refills up to over a week early from every pharmacy I have been to.) The lady pharmacist began speaking and was a little condescending. She said by Publix policy that actually we can not refill a prescription unless you are completely out, but we will do it 1 day early and are not going to refill it because you demand it. I gave her a very odd look and replied: I'm not demanding it, could show me that in the policy though? She said well I'm telling you this. I replied: I understand but would like to see that in some sort of writing. She said I can call my regional manager and they can tell you. I replied: That still is not in writing as a policy, you have refill prescriptions early all the time and I have spoken with you about this before and there were no issues. (Maybe just today she was just having a bad day, IDK). She then said you can have your DR call us and tell us to give it to you early. WHAT!? I said again its 4 days early, and am going out of town tomorrow. This refill was put in 3 days ago, today you send me a message it is ready. Also there is no way I can speak with my DR, don't know of anywhere that is going to let you speak with the DR they are pretty busy. I stated never mind, I will transfer my prescriptions somewhere else, she said that's fine too. Huge thumbs down to this pharmacy, because she is a pharmacist does not mean you know everything, and needs to really develop some people skills. Went to a different pharmacy and asked about getting refills early and they stated that is not an issue pharmacies will do it a week early."
"I would like to honor the store manager, Art, for his exceptional leadership. I stopped him in the store today to commend him on the level of excellence his employees display and thank him for his leadership. As a “true” leader would do, he deflected all the kudo’s to his employees and not once took credit. What…an…amazing…man!! Loved that! As I was shopping, I could hear him encouraging and thanking those employees while they were working. Utterly amazing! I’d also like to xommmed LaTonya in deli, and Alex at checkout. Two of the most consummate professionals and hard chargers. You see shoppers, going to this store is more than just shopping. They have a remarkable customer service platform that all their employees follow. I love this store…I love the employees…and I love how kind and helpful they all are. Way to go, Art, LaTonya and Miss Alex! You all made my day!!!"
"I stopped by to pick up my mother’s prescriptions and also pick up one of mine that was called in this morning. There was no line so I thought I would also get a flu shot. I asked the lady about my prescription and she yold me it wasnt ready and it would be at least another 30 minutes because they had a lot of scripts in front of mine. I asked about a flu shot and again she said at least 30 minutes because they needed to process all the scripts that was in process first before they could do it. I do need to add that the girl who took my mother’s prescriptions at the window was very nice and they were handled quickly. She is great. The issue was another employee. I declined but a person would think that people at the counter would be taken care of before those who are not even at the store yet. Very bad system especially during covid. I told the manager who apologized but did not really care. I called the other publix and asked them their process for flu shots and their procedure was different. She transferred my prescription and before I was even home, it was ready. I went to get it and got my flu shot as well......in and out of Madison street in less than 15 minutes. I am seriously disappointed in Sango Road especially since they didnt act like this before. Maybe new employees?"
"My family have been using this pharmacy for about 3 months now, we made the switch from Walgreens due to wait time. I stop in this evening after work about 6:15-6:30 and there was a note on window “ Pharmacist will be back at 6:45. So I left and came back to sit and watch the pharmacist have what looked to be a personal conversation with a lady, after I sit for 10 minutes I push call button and then again after another 5 minutes.. and then I get a hand like she was shushing me. So then after 5 more minutes I hold the call button down. At this time she came to window to help I was very annoyed. I said to her I hope you enjoyed your conversation as I sat here, long story short she tells me about why she wasn’t there the first time I was there cause she had to pump, cause her child had to eat. Not sure why no one was there to cover for her??? Then as she tells me about the lady she had the conversation with “ she is a customer... so I said so am I . I never seen her get the other customer anything. This one person is the only one I have ever had trouble with, all others there have been fine."
