"Here’s some information for all of you potential home sellers/buyers... A few years ago I walked into Mr. Hollinden’s office, because we were interested in moving. Tony, the broker/owner, looked at us when we walked in and asked how he could help us. After simply saying “We are interested in moving homes”, he looked at us and said “what’s your price range? around $80,000?” Wondering how he came up with that number, we said “no, we are looking around the $175-$250k range” Tony said “oh! Okay!” Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with living in an $80,000 home, and there are plenty of nice houses in Perry County around that price range; it was the simple fact that Tony judged us based on looks, and came up with that number. I just want to know how someone could come up with a number like that without knowing the person. Tony Hollinden also ran on the democrat ticket for mayor a few years back, and lost. He was telling people all throughout the town “I’m not worried about this election. I’ve got it, no problem.” Clearly, this extremely arrogant individual was wrong again. Other people in Tell City also know or have had bad experiences with Hollinden. It was such a pleasure seeing Jim Adams win, and knowing that Tony was completely embarrassed. He is a very well known name here in this major democrat community, and to have a lesser known republican win was amazing. Before you do business with Hollinden, be prepared to be judged. Tony believes that he is the greatest person that lives in Tell City, and is VERY good at portraying himself as a “good person”. He is far, far from it. Just know that YOU are nothing to him, and he is better than you in so many ways, or so he believes."
