"Moved into an apartment that was "ready for move in" needing "small" fixes that "will be done before you're Moved in". These statements were all untrue. A/C only works on the first floor, maintenance believes they know everything "the bedroom has a ceiling fan turn that on" there's no ceiling fan in the apartment at all. No curtains on windows back screen door is broken. All bathroom holder's are falling out of the wall. Don't recommend this apartment complex at all they're very much in Over their heads. They don't even know their lease holder's names crazy."
"1bdrm/1bath here. My apartment is ridiculous spacious 971 sq ft, with large rooms and a walk in closet. The office staff is helpful when repair orders need to be put in and addressing any other issues in your unit. Neighbors are private and courteous in any interactions. I've lived here 2 years and consider this one of the better places I lived. I even moved into my unit sight unseen. I throughly enjoyed these apartments, but the longer I am here the more problems have arisen. The staff is helpful when I call for repairs, BUT it can take WEEKS for the repair to be done and continuous call backs for it to be done PROPERLY. These apartments have undergone at least two if not 3 owner changes, which have resulted in HUGE rent increases for the property. I currently pay $655 with pet fee and my rent in my new lease has been raised to $850 with pet fee. They have installed Google Nest in the apartments, which helps with heating and cooling. But in the older units the bedrooms are extremely hot from air leaks at the window and by the sliding glass doors in the dining rooms. With the most recent change of ownership, you must move from your current unit to a new renovated unit where your rent will be the same for the two months before being raised. There are MANY older people in the community and the ones with whom I have spoken with will not be able to afford these raises. We have not been given the option to stay in current units and must move either way. I'm saddened that this is what has happened, especially with everything going on because of COVID. I feel like apartments are capitalizing on the pandemic and this apartment has sadly become one of those places."
"Pros: spacious, near stores, restaurants, etc. Cons: office staff is hostile. Rent has gone up to the point you can't afford it and it's not worth it because of how awful this place is. There's cracks in the foundation in every apartments so bugs easily get in. The plumbing underground is bad so many first floor apartments are flooded several times a year. If you have items in the first floor, they can get ruined by the plumbing water that floods your apartment. They bring a plumber to drain it every time and state they've never found the problem... But I've spoken to the plumber myself and they've said the pipes underground need to be replaced but the complex refuses because it costs a lot of money. Maintenance does not fix issues in a timely manner and the office workers make excuses like "well that's what happens when you rent instead of buying" or "we were busy". The customer service is atrocious and they truly only care about getting your money. If your a/c is out in the summer good luck, they'll make you wait weeks for it to be fixed because in your lease it states that they don't consider a/c malfunctioning to be an emergency nor will you be allowed any reduced rent for not having working a/c. Save yourself the stress and headache and please don't move here if you can help it."
"My wife and I moved into Sheffield Square in 2018, and we have been very happy with our experience here. The buildings and apartments are not new and glistening, but they are clean, spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The walls and floors are thick, and we never had any trouble with noise or neighbors. We never had any problems with pests, and any maintenance issues were handled quickly and without a fuss. The price was good for the amount of space we had, and the staff in the office is always friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place."
"We started out in what use to be Sheffield ridge same owners maintainence etc stuff got fixed over there. We moved to Sheffield square for a 2 bedroom in November of 17. Our ac and heat has not worked since the day we moved in every time I called last year I got well there's nothing we can do about it or well you have it better than some of the other people here. They were recently bought out and are over charging us for rent. We pay 800 a month for an apt basically with no balcony ac or abilities to cook because it is too hot to cook or have the laundry going when the ac isn't working and there solution was to give us a portable unit which now has our access to our balcony blocked off. Do NOT waste your money the staff is completely and utterly incompetent."
