"If you haven’t been to see music or comedy at Planet of the Tapes, definitely check it out. It’s a great sounding room, the staff is top notch, and the decor and vibe are truly awesome. As a person who doesn’t drink alcohol, it’s truly amazing to see a bar offer the kind of variety they do. For folks who do imbibe, they always have creative speciality cocktails. I’ve been both a performer and a patron here and I can’t say enough good things about this place."

"This was my first visit to Planet of the Tapes to watch several local bands play. What cool retro, welcoming vibe this haunt has. The employees were friendly and attentive. The venue was very tidy, which is no easy feat in this industry. It was clear everyone was really enjoying themselves, and it spilled over from person to person. If you're looking for something casual, trendy with a local feel, this is your place."

"Loved this place. Unique and nostalgic. There were many nice touches and surprises. For example the menus are former DVD cases. Great drinks with fun names. They don't serve food. They have snacks for ordering. Besides popcorn I can't recall anything else. It sounds like they have different themed nights. We came on trivia night (Tuesday). It was television trivia and it was no joke. We didn't win but still had a good time. Oh and they also have malort for the people from Chicago that like to drink sweet bug spray."

"Great place! Went there 4-9-23 and they were having an Ash Vs. Evil dead movie marathon with popcorn provided. There was also food provided by Fright Bites and trivia with an Easter egg hunt. Everyone I encountered was friendly from the patrons to staff. Will be back."
