"I see that the reviews 6 months and further back have been positive. Unfortunately, our experience over the past 4 months has not been the same. We experienced the loss of a loved one and were making adjustments to the applicable insurance. We needed to bring the current policy to a close and begin an updated one. Final payments were made per the instructions of the agent to bring the current policy to a close and we documented our final check as such. The Auto-Owners company insists another monthly installment is due. The agent at Horn and France and the agency manager have yet to provide documentation that validates another payment is due nor has the agent kept multiple commitments to get back with us. This past week we've now discovered that the new policy we began in April was not written correctly for the property in question and has left us at risk. Our ask to Horn and France is that they settle with Auto-Owners quickly and ensure there is no impact to us. We will be moving our business and advising the Better Business Bureau of our experience."
