Gifford Theater

Gifford Theater, located at 2396 Crabbe Street in Richmond, Kentucky, United States, is a cultural institution dedicated to empowering agency and citizenship through the works of William Shakespeare. The theater challenges the community to explore the question of what Shakespeare means to them and how they can use his works to express themselves. By providing a platform for Appalachian students to share their unique experiences, Gifford Theater aims to counter negative stereotypes and celebrate the region's diverse worldview.

The theater hosts performances from February 28 to March 2 at 7:30pm in Campbell Building, Gifford Theatre. Tickets are priced at $15 for General Admission and $10 for Students and Seniors. Tickets can be purchased online through the EKU Center for the Arts. For school groups or organizations interested in attending a matinee performance of “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical,” inquiries can be directed to paige.lambert@eku.edu.

To maintain a respectful atmosphere during performances, the use of cameras, recorders, and electronic devices inside the theater is strictly prohibited. Audience members are asked to silence their phones and refrain from texting during the show. If children become disruptive, patrons are encouraged to relocate to the lobby.
