"Please be aware!! This school is very unorganized and as a parent of a three month old baby that not the type of environment any parent would want to leave a infant in. My son who is three month old was rejected due to the staff enforcement of a 10 am cut off time! It was 10:35 when I arrived to drop him off. Being that it was only his second day and as his mom I advised the staff member jamie who stood guard at the door that I was misinformed by the staff and was advised that I could bring my son in as long as it was before 11 am. I advised the preschoolers director Jamie that I had no prior knowledge about the strict cut off policy she was enforcing on me. Ms. Jamie proceeded to aske me if I had been to download an app that allows the school to communicate with staff and receive daily updates because the school had sent out a reminder of the 10 am cut off time to all parents the night before. I advised Jamie that I was not made aware from any one from the daycare to download any apps. So Ms. Jamie pulls out a paper and hands me the instructions to download the app. After I was given the instructions for the app. I asked Ms. Jamie if my three month old baby boy could please be allowed to go to his infant class because Clearly I was unaware of the rules and needed to go on a job interview and that I now that I was made aware of the 10 am cut off time I would have him to school on time. Ms. Jame told me no he could not come in because she had go follow the rules. My issue with this school is that as a mom. I get it they wanted to enforce the rules but as a new parent in the school I noticed no one wanted to take accountability for the mistake that was made when my infant baby was Registered. The staff Clearly didn't enroll my son correctly and sure as heck didn't go over the day care rules with me. My three month old baby should have never been turned away. The staff should have acknowledged the misinformation that was given to me as a parent. That would have been the right thing to do.but instead out Jamie turned us away. If the staff at the school won't take accountability for the small miscommunication then that let's me know that as a parent of a new infant child they will for sure not take responsibility if they were faced with a accident or emergency with my infant. It's a big red flag and I hope all parents really do your research prior to leaving your kids with this school. I disenrolled my son today because of that reason. Be careful parents."
"My experience with CCY has been awful. Children are neglected and most of the time they aren’t even paid attention to. A lot of the competent teachers have left because of how unprofessional this company is. They are for profit and do not care about your child nor your child’s needs. They want to put up a front to look “good”. I NEVER write reviews but this one time, I believe it’s necessary. The staff is unprofessional, not friendly nor trust worthy. They like to cover things up or sweep them under the rug. The administration just sits around gossiping and micro managing other staff. The children aren’t changed every two hours like they’re supposed to, they aren’t redirected (instead they are shamed and use a form of fear to change their behavior), a lot of the staff are in a full classroom with minimal assistance, and there have been times where teachers get sick and are forced to stay at work. They’ve had MULTIPLE covid cases and not a word was mentioned. There are even occurrences where the staff will walk around without masks. They claim to be a school with a legitimate curriculum, but they are not. The curriculum is mainly composed of playing all day and not dedicated to teaching the kids anything important for their age groups. It’s an expensive daycare that doesn’t care about anything else except running their business. Please consider taking your child somewhere else."
"Wish I could give 0 stars but one it is.. Teachers and management always have a bad attitudes. very disappointed and had to pull my kids and find a better safer place. Unbelievable how when we started my son always was sent home with an incident report from another child hurting him. Yes boys are rough but it was on going and at his new daycare we have been with since the summer he has had 0 scratches/marks or complaints. The last straw is when he said a teacher hit him yes he was 2, but like I said nothing bad since we switched school so clearly he was NOT the problem. I think this place should not be open clearly I am not the only parent who has had to deal with this mess. All was well with the pre kindergarten school until my daughter was in a group of kids someone said something bad she repeated (yes she was dissaplined at home for it because we don't say mean things.) But the issue was a group of 5 kids and she only got suspended? Later i found out it was due to whenever a teacher was walking up that is when she repeated. Like I said she should not have said anything but she is a child and children learn. Even after voicing my complain all the children involved should be sent home for the day but I was ignored. I tried to call manager and speak about it she was dodging my calls so I went up there got an excuse for being busy and I would get a call later that afternoon. Never happened I called again the next morning 3 times and she kept saying she is busy she will call back. I pulled her out that day and we are loving KidsRKids daycare center. Amazing friendly clean and nice staff."
"I enrolled my 8 month old for 3 days per week and was horrified at what our experience was. 1. His teacher put kids down for a nap on their tummies, patting their bottom. NOT SAFE. I was horrified to come in and see her happily putting down the other kids like this. I couldn't express that to her though because... 2. The lady who was introduced to us as his teacher when we enrolled was, in fact, never in the room. She's a floater. The woman who was there all day with him speaks no English. I'm not opposed to that in principle, I even like the idea of a multicultural daycare, BUT as a parent, it is NOT acceptable that I was unable to communicate with his daily care giver and that no provision was made to facilitate this. I received no updates or reports on how he was doing, I couldn't ask any questions or get any feedback. Going along with that.... 3. There was absolutely no curriculum. They had nothing that they were doing or learning. The kids are left to crawl around on the floor and play with toys but get no direction. In a month there were no art projects, no anything. Think infant curriculum doesn't matter? Wrong! Having a curriculum helps the kids to interact and helps parents and teachers test the boundaries of where they are skill-wise. This lady had none. I looked around and not a single classroom in that section of the building had current lesson plans or had completed the "what we learned today". 4. Kids are discouraged from interacting. We enrolled our little one because he was ready for some interaction with other little people. When I was there what I saw was that the woman in his room worked very hard to keep all the kids separated and playing in different areas of the room. No interaction was allowed. When one little boy came over to play with my son he was scooped up, taken across the room, given a book and told "no". That's the opposite of what parents are paying for. 5. They don't even get the basics right! In an average day, my kid was there for 9 - 10 hours and during that time would have 3 to 4 diaper changes. He started regularly coming home with diaper rash. They promised that they provide 2 meals and a snack. Nope. My kid got fed a small amount of garbage food (no fresh fruits or veg, carb and fat heavy, lots of sugar) that they provided and then ate food we were expected to provide. So, for example, they would provide 2 small, hard "biscuits" and grape jelly for breakfast. When my child was still hungry he would be given the fresh bananas or baby food we had supplied as a top up. 6. They don't live up to the supposed accreditation. Beyond the complete lack of lesson plans, or even pretending to have activities, they also don't take the kids outside. The afternoon lady, Carol (who is sweet as pie! and our favorite thing about the place) would take them around in the baby cart, but only inside. No fresh air, no adventures. All day stuck in the same, small room. This experience was terrible for me and my baby. Don't waste your money or time. The management and staff clearly don't care about providing a quality experience."
"As any parent, I searched many different daycares and found negative reviews about all, but at the end of it all I had to choose one regardless of my fears. I decided to give the Children's Courtyard on Gattis School a try. I am very pleased with them, they are outstanding. My son is in the 3 year old room, and his teacher if very nice and friendly and he has grown very fond of her. The simple fact that he looks forward to going there every day, is a clear indication to me that he is comfortable there. There were no more tears after the first week, which was great. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful, I had one small concern and they quickly addressed it. I'm so glad I gave them the opportunity to show me how good they were as opposed to going based on just the reviews alone. They send out weekly updates of what the kids are working on in the class room, and a monthly calendar with the lesson plan, this way as a parent you are able to re-enforce what they are learning in the classroom."
