"Creative Corner has been a staple in East Harris County since I was a little boy. I am 44 now, and even I attended CC when I was in Elementary. The owners have done an exceptional job year in and year out with this daycare. I am so happy, now my niece has been going here for 3 years and she has loved every minute of it. It is very uncommon, that a 4-5 yr old after a Dr. appt wants to go back to school...but she did. This says Creative Corner is very caring about each and every one of there kiddos. The staff there (everyone) is so caring and treats each kid like their own. I have been able to attend a few events their with my niece, and the building is always so active and fun! Heck, even I didn't want to leave. My niece is now heading to 1st grade (tears), but if it was up to her...she would not move one. Creative Corner is one of the oldest and established daycares/schools around and it says so much that every year, they are at capacity. I wouldn't even think twice, if my kids were still this young. A wonderful owner, a great staff and each kid that comes out is so prepared!!"
"Are you the parent of a tiny human being and researching the private preschool in the Houston area? Look no further, you have found THE PERFECT SCHOOL bar none!! I can attest to this from personal experience; I'm a former Creative Corner teacher AND my one and only daughter attended this school as SOON as she was old enough to enroll. Creative Corner Child Development Center is a family owned business with over 40 years educational experience and community involvement. Generations of families have made Creative Corner a cornerstone for their child's education. Once your little one becomes a student at CC, they are alumni for LIFE! In spirit of this, we return from time to time to say hello and check in. Pamela Humphries, the original owner and executive director has mentored HUNDREDS of students and teachers during her tenure (including myself). Her educational program spans a range FAR BEYOND cultivating your child's MOST fundamental and formative years. CC alumni have grown up to attend prestigious universities in and out of state. Indeed, early childhood development is Creative Corner's area of expertise, but it's noteworthy to mention their program is designed to develop the WHOLE CHILD. The pillars of their program encompass academic, cognitive, and social-emotional development. The extraordinary teaching staff begin this by creating environments of belonging and connection for students to engage and thrive in. To offer context for this review, the pandemic has compelled many of us to reflect in many areas of our lives. This reflection has helped me release what doesn't work for my family and return to what is good for my family. Education being chiefly among them. In light of this, I wish Creative Corner offered a program through high school!! My daughter is now middle school aged and I'm proud to share she is navigating preadolescence with a strong foundation that Creative Corner helped her establish. I am now in search for a private school that will help her prepare for her future in an ever changing world! Without a doubt, the world is evolving rapidly and can make parenting and decision making very challenging. So, if you find yourself at the critical juncture of deciding where to enroll your child for preschool, take it from me, Creative Corner has stood the test of time. Their program is a return to all that is good for young learners. Give them a call TODAY and see for yourself!"
"I will start by saying that the director of this school is amazing and truly cares about the children. She developed a beautiful bond with my daughter and I think that’s why I kept her there as long as I did. Other than that… the teachers at this school are absolutely terrible. I had countless meetings, phone calls and even discussed concerns with the director and nothing was done. I was told an investigation would take place. The teachers are not friendly nor approachable. They do not greet my child when she would walk in the building. I would hear the way they spoke to other kids and I am sure they spoke to mine like that. My daughter started dreading going to school to the point of crying. There were many instances the teachers would talk about ME in front of my daughter who is 5 and she would come home and tell me. She also would tell me that a teacher got in her face and she could feel her breath. My daughter is behind with phonics and although it’s definitely not just the schools obligation… they do not do anything extra or outside of the schedule. I asked multiple times if during TV time could they pull her to the side and work with her more. Honestly the curriculum that is taught.. doesn’t make sense. After countless issues.. I tried to be positive and fix the things that I identified. This last incident of the teachers talking to each other about my daughter and calling her annoying because she “doesn’t listen” was it for me. My daughter was robbed of having a pre-k graduation due to me having to pull her out. I watched her little spirit decline over the last few months. I don’t think she felt comfortable at this school. She started off as very outgoing and wanting to speak to everyone to walking right past the teachers and not even caring if they spoke to her or not. She is 5. Something is up. This school needs more training for staff. And I feel more should have been done by the owner regarding the many incidents I brought to her."
"We had two children enrolled at Creative Corner over a 3 year time period. Of course, you do the normal review of available schools geographically convenient to work / home. We looked at programs, ratios, management, white glove cleanliness test, etc. We were pleased with the value and attentiveness of what our children received. I am not sure why the couple reviews below experienced something else. However, I have only the highest praise for the care and education our children received. So many of the "corporate" daycares lose that connection to the community and a sense of obligation. This school does it right. Cost, Quality, Convenience and the right amount of parental communication. Not in overload nor did they have us on ignore. Thank You!"
