"The truth is that I really like that they are very kind people and they give everyone what they need, thank you that God sold them for their donations."
"Clean, great staff, fun environment for my children."
"i wish I can put no starts the woman watches toddlers do not know how to handle them. they switch new teachers every month. my child attends here and she has been bite twice. first one incident report the second they didn't tell me and they took 2 weeks just find out what happened. they are there for a check and would swear your child is disruptive knowing that toddlers are overly active and don't always listen. im over it."
"Over a year and a half period, the sum of my total experiences from a parental perspective with Grace Academy would be scored as a 1.0 on a 5.0 scale. I was saddened by the lack of professionalism, minimal supervision of kids, inability to take accountability, and the audacity of the director, Laquisha Lee- who must've been passed down that opportunity from a relative in the church as oppose to schooling and preparation. The lack of detail on one of their flyers led me and my mother to take off work one day for a luncheon, only to learn that "ALL-Pre K students" participating in the luncheon according to the director really means "just the Pre K-4 students." When asked about the lack of clarity on the flyer and how misleading that could be, Lee's response was that a permission slip was dispersed to the students the flyer was targeted to. No ownership on how this plain, 20 word Microsoft Word document, should have communicated more detail since it was posted in multiple places around the facility. So since I was already aimlessly on the campus, I decided to make use of my time and see what was going on in my absence. Walked to the kitchen around 12:10pm, where my son was eating with what was obviously an overpopulation of three-year-old kids, a few of which were standing in their seats or sitting elbow to elbow. In that moment, it dawned on me that this school is for lower class families, and strategically placed directly next to two neighborhood churches. I scouted the room and found him walking around poking the spoon he was eating with, filled with spaghetti sauce, in his ear. 45 dollar Ralph Lauren shirt he had on was stained in multiple places, but none of the three-year-olds were provided a bib; I'm assuming because most of them were sent to school in t-shirts they possibly slept in? Not sure. A few months prior, my son was in an altercation with another three year old that produced a huge knot on his left eye after being pushed into a table. While I do realize fights and disagreements happen amongst children, I couldn't understand how it escalated to the point where an adult was not able to diffuse the situation. Before we left, my mother had a couple questions for Laquisha pertaining to past occurrences that challenged their safety risks as well as unreturned calls. Her retort was, although she promised to call my mother back, she decided to communicate with the actual mother of the child when she seen her in passing, instead. I thanked Laquisha for her time and we proceeded to exit. As my mother and I were walking off, Laquisha follows us from the kitchen to the front door and as a result hears me tell my mother "we gotta get him out of here" to which she rudely interrupts as we're opening the door to exit "let me know when you want to get him out" as if I was talking to her. It didn't register to me that she was being sardonic until I was at the car, but it also verified that as the head of the daycare she is not only careless in her governing but also could not care less about the kids individually so this will be my son's last week."
