"This daycare facility is a God send! I was desperately looking for a daycare when I moved across town after the first one I picked did not work out. Shining Stars Academy was recommended to me by cousin and friend. Mrs. Delores, Mrs. Angela, Mrs. Cheryl, Mrs. Izella, Mrs. Lisa, Mrs. Destiny & the rest of the staff whom I did not list for an honorable mention (my apologies) are AWESOME!!! It's extremely comforting for me to know that when I leave my children in their care that they are safe, attended to & cared for properly while being treated with the respect and dignity they deserve by the staff. If your looking for a daycare center that accommodates those of us in health care that work 12 hour shifts or, one the has extended hours & offers transportation for school aged children to and from school; please LOOK NO FURTHER!!! "In short this daycare is a joke. When you walk in the front door it smells like a litter box. My son was there for less than two weeks before I was forced to take him out because the staff could not respect my wishes for his diet. I asked that he was not to be given juice or cookies. When I told the teacher that he was not to have those specific things, She asked me, "welll then, what you want him to have? I explained her any fruit or vegetable would do And to only give him water or milk. I was then told that I would have to pack his snack and Foods because they give cookies for snacks. Though I thought it was ridiculous that asking them to feed a growing child fruits and vegetables was asking too much, I said no problem and the following week I brought his the lunch bag. The day I picked him early I learned that they had given him his entire bag of food for breakfast leaving him nothing for snack. There was enough food in the bag for 3 separate meals. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch. And on top of that his sippy cup was half full of apple juice. I took him home and called back to let them know my son would not be returning."
