"Person working in billing is very rude and condescending. She would not even let me finish explain my situation. Luckily I was transferred to Alison who was very helpful and listened to my concerns. Issue was resolved within a few minutes of talking to Alison."
"Never got one bill from them. Just a call from a very rude nasty collection agent. My son had surgery and every bill came through and I paid them just fine. I offered to pay $75 a month until the 400 bill was paid off but they are refusing that. He respond "you dont have 400 right now in full!?" They are stating they will turn me over to collections if its not paid in full....now. Ruddiest, most heartless people I have ever dealt with."
"They sent my account to collections due to their negligence of not submitting the correct billing codes to my insurer. They were advised to resubmit the claim which they never did. Finally I was able to get Aetna to resubmit the claim myself after I explained that the billing department was not being cooperative. They are still claiming I owe even after they received payment and I have an EOB showing that Aetna paid them in full. I have filed a complaint on them so hopefully they will get their act together. I would rather talk to a rock then deal with their billing department they are very unprofessional and do not return calls if you leave a voice message."
"The anesthesiologist was very nice and very informative for my son's surgery. He helped us choose the best option for anesthesia since he was only 6 months old at the time of the surgery. The lady I spoke with in the billing department was very nice and understanding of our situation. I will say that they do stamp all of their statements (even the first one) with a stamp to call about getting on a payment plan to avoid collections, but when I called everyone was nice and helpful. I do wish there was an option to pay them online, but other than that I am very pleased with them. As mentioned in previous review, we didn't get to choose them, Norton's chose them, but I would choose them again if I did get to choose."
"The anesthesiologist who worked my daughter's surgery was fine. It was a simple procedure in an otherwise very healthy child. The doc part was fine. The billing office was another story entirely. The procedure was 2/7. They filed the claim with my insurance 2/15. That's a fairly normal time frame. Insurance paid on 2/22 - also a normal time frame. Now, here is where we go off the rails. On 2/27 they sent me a letter saying "work with you on this account to keep it from going to collections". Um... The insurance filing information I had to get from my carrier's website. They haven't mailed the EOB yet. Pediatric Anesthesia Associates has not sent a bill yet. Per Lisa the office manager, the bill won't be mailed until 3/3. So, basically, they threatened collections before even sending a bill. They threatened collections before it was even physically possible for me to pay them. A handwritten check takes 2 days minimum to get to the provider. A check sent through the bank's online bill pay takes 7. And, they haven't even sent the bill yet. Michelle, the person who signed the letter never bothered to call me back. Lisa, the office manager said "that's just how they do things". Norton's Children's picked the providers who work in their OR, so It's not like picking your surgeon. You may very well be stuck be stuck with them. But, if you have a choice, and know that you will have too much on your plate to deal with collections threats before you even get a bill, you may want to select a different provider."
