Wharton Head Start

Wharton Head Start, located at 500 Abell Street South in Wharton, Texas, is part of Upbring, a Texas-wide organization dedicated to advancing child wellbeing through generational innovation. Our institution is committed to making a lasting impact by connecting children to forever families through international and foster-to-adopt programs. We provide resources, assistance, and wraparound support for Texas children and families in our care, with the goal of breaking the cycle of child abuse.

Our foster care program connects children with families who can provide compassion, safety, and support until restoration takes place within the biological family. For children who cannot return to their birth families, our foster-to-adopt team helps find loving, secure, and permanent homes with a forever family. In our residential children's programs, trauma survivors find hope and healing in a safe and nurturing environment.
