"Well I absolutely have had wonderful experiences with this place until today. So I called at 8:00 to let them know that I was going to be about 20 minutes late and they reassured me multiple times that it was ok. However when I got here they told me that I was too late to be seen. So I asked them why they didn’t have the common courtesy to let me know that I was driving 30 minutes out of my way to NOT SEE THE DOCTOR… Not one time did they mention I was not going to be able to see the doctor cause if they would have done so then I wouldnt have wasted my time and most importantly my money. So I wasted gas and we all know that’s not cheap not to mention the time I’ve lost at work which is money. You people need to get it together and learn how to communicate and consider other people’s time and money. I’m so freaking tired of inconsiderate people that hate doing their jobs. This whole thing could have been prevented had you people considered someone but your selves. I pray I have an opportunity to treat these people the way they treated me some day. If I see any of these people at my job they will get the worst service they have ever had and they won’t forget."
"Quick in and out. Even showed up late, it's a different Shepherdsville Norton's than I last had blood drawn for labs. But the receptionist and lab tech were great. They are weren't concerned about me showing up late, they were very friendly and understanding!"
"I have been a patient here since 2010 when I had Dr. Payne as my PCP. Since he retired last year, I was forced to see a new provider. I was "randomly" scheduled with Andrea Burton who I was told was "wide open" schedule wise (most likely due to no one wanting her as a PCP). It's always stressful finding a new PCP to establish a connection with based on individual beliefs and preferences. I knew from the moment Andrea walked into the room on August 29 (in FULL Covid gear) that we wouldn't get along. However, I pride myself on being open-minded and willing to see others' points of view. She began by criticizing the 2 VERY BASIC, and I want to stress this BASIC (non-controlled substance medication) that I have been prescribed by Dr. Payne for the better part of 13 years. Andrea is an APRN, but according to her, she knows "what's best". She asked me why I'm taking this, have I had any side effects (I haven't), etc. I inquired as to if she had the notes from Dr. Payne. She advised she did, but "doesn't like the way he made notes". I proceed to answer all of her questions honestly. She then advises me she will NOT be prescribing me this medication anymore unless I have new labs conducted. Since I have nothing to hide or prove, I said "absolutely, I'll take whatever test you need". She then randomly asks me how much caffeine I consume a day. Perplexed, I advise I have 2 cups of coffee 4-5 times a week. She acts shocked, almost falls off her chair, and asks in the most condescending tone if "I'm aware of how much caffeine that is." I do, and I answer about 80 mg per cup. She tells me "I'm killing myself slowly by drinking that much caffeine." I actually laughed aloud and said, "we all have to go sometime" and if that's the worst thing I do, I think I'll be ok. Note: there is no "universal" opinion on caffeine. Some studies show it's the worst thing ever, Other studies such as Healthline, American Heart Association, and university backed research indicates caffeine in moderation is actually beneficial to your health. But not Andrea. I thought Andrea was going to call A&E immediately and request to have me star in the TV series "Intervention". But, hey, I'd be the first caffeine addict to be featured! A few days later I have my labs ran, and no surprise, I scored perfectly healthy and within normal ranges for EVERYTHING. However, this wasn't good enough for Andrea. She now decides I need to have my Testosterone levels checked. Odd, but I agree, I am a bodybuilder, and I knew my levels would be off the charts due to my diet (consuming healthy, testosterone boosting food and OTC Testosterone boosters.) The next morning, I awoke to THREE voicemails stating it's imperative they speak with me about my results. I was thinking "did I acquire stage 4 cancer overnight"? But no. I call back and no surprise, my Testosterone levels are indeed literally off the charts, like I said they would be. Andrea advises on my PERMANENT medical record that she will NOT be prescribing me anymore medication due to my "obvious STEROID/EXOGENOUS TESTOSTERONE ABUSE". I had to put the phone down and laugh thinking it was a joke and there's no way even an APRN can be so ignorant about men's health. I explain that I passed those labs perfectly and if I'm "abusing steroids" surely that would reflect in those tests. Andrea is too ignorant/uneducated or doesn't care enough to actually understand the situation. Maybe all three. Since this has been marked on my medical record, I filed a complaint against her and am making everyone I can aware of her and her lack of knowledge. It's quite concerning denying a patient basic medication based off your personal opinion and not actual FACTS. My friends and family won't be back to Norton; I hope those of you reading this will see this and use it as a lesson to steer clear of her. Andrea is pompous and you can tell has a very high opinion of herself. Andrea, please educate yourself on men's health before you think you know better than anyone else. Please go back to school and do better for your future patients."
"Dr. Brockman is the best doctor I've ever had in my entire life. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, listens very well, always comes in prepared by knowing what the problem is so you never have to rehash it with her, and is always ready to do everything possible and explore all avenues to ensure you are taking care of. She has been nothing but helpful, kind, and compassionate with my wife and myself. I truly feel blessed to have gotten assigned to her when I came to Norton's four years ago. She clearly cares about her work, her patients, and takes pride in doing the best job she possibly can. If not for her, I would have never known about my feet problems, my neck problems, or my back problems. All other doctors dismissed because I am "too young" to have these problems, or chalked it up to me being overweight. She took the extra measures to send me to proper specialists and have MRIs done. It seems a lot of doctors don't care and are just in it for the money, but not Dr. Brockman. She really gives it the best she can, and I trust her, which is not something I often do. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for the best PCP they can find."
"I have been taking my children to this location for almost 10 years and never had a problem the staff are always professional and courteous. However on a recent visit My daughter had to be seen by nurse practitioner Andrea Burton this lady is an absolute nightmare. Very rude and condescending. If you're already not feeling well, do not see Andrea Burton."
