"Our son has been going to SMCDC since January and we love it! The staff are great with him and you can tell he's happy to be there. We were so nervous after having him home for the first 9 months, but everything has been great. The staff are very communicative and send pictures so we always know how he's doing. So happy with our choice!"
"I could go on and on about this place, but it used to be a great place several years ago. The staff is a revolving door, there is no pre-k curriculum despite what they say on their website (absolutely NONE). My son scored poorly on two aptitude tests. They turn the TV on and let them watch shows all the time, despite the fact that the director said the TV is used sparingly during the tour. The director is horrible at communicating anything to parents. You would never know who a new floater or teacher was because there would be new caregivers weekly there. My son also was getting very sick weeks at a time towards the end of when we decided to pull him out. His eczema has cleared completely since leaving there. The owner clearly doesn’t care about his parents who pay him good money to trust that their child is getting what they state they do on their website. I was told by a floater that “the teacher doesn’t have time to teach your son how to hold his pencil, so here is a pencil grip to help him.” I was paying for PRE-K? This is so disappointing to have to write this review but I want parents to know that there better places to send your child in St. Matthews. Taking our son out was the best thing that we ever did. He’s now in the YMCA, around 150 kids and hasn’t been ill once. What does that tell you? There are better options!"
"I've recently moved out of state and can't find a child care center in my new town that even compares to the loving environment of St. Matthews CDC. The staff and director are attentive and loving, and they feel like family. I knew that each time I dropped my child off, she was in great hands. I have recommended SMCDC to several friends in Louisville, and I definetely miss the quality care and peace of mind I had with the staff, management, and facility director."
"Love SMCDC. Before I found them my son had been to 2 different daycares in a 4 month span. SMDC are loving, attentive and educational. Any special instructions or concerns I had about either of my kids I took to the assistant director and she always took the initiative to make sure it was addressed. Both my kids started kindergarten beyond prepared. I highly recommend SMCDC to everyone. The teachers are all great at making sure our babies are loved away from home."
"Absolutely LOVE this facility. Prior to my daughter being at SMCDC she had been at an at home facility and a public daycare. I thought that I would never be able to feel comfortable with my daughter not being in my care but when I found this daycare all my worries were taken away. My toddler's vocabulary has by far had amazing improvement. People can't believe she is only 2 by her speech. The teachers teach them manners as well. My daughter answers with yes please, no thank you, yes sir, and no ma'am. Her current teacher, Ms. T is awesome! My toddler talks about her all the time, she adores her. She had my 2 year old potty trained in a matter of weeks, could not be happier with this daycare."
