"Used to this was the only urgent care I would go to in this town. Now I would rather go out of town than to go here. Have been a patient at this location myself and my granddaughter as well, have taken her in numerous times. Last night she was the last patient seen. Provider did not prescribe all the medication to the pharmacy that night, so had to make multiple trips. Also when calling to inquire about was not allowed to give information, saying I was not the guardian, when I was the one who took her in and had brought my paperwork to put on file as which they could not find. Ask to speak with supervisor, and have yet to receive a call. Depending upon who's working at the front honestly is part of what kind of service you're going to receive. Both receptionist that I spoke with, did their jobs. But in different ways which tells me their training was different and not the same like it should be. Everyone is to be treated equal and expect the same quality service every time. As to which this does not happen and is a problem! I really feel this location really needs to get it together, I never have this problem at their sister clinic in Mount Sterling Kentucky."
"I made an appointment on a Sunday for a Monday appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early for my visit. The appointment took 11/2 hours just to get in a room. I sat in the room over another hour and a half waiting to be seen. The doctor and staff were very nice, no problem there. I do not understand during the Covid, flu and RSV season why you only have one doctor working this establishment. This was my first visit ever there and I doubt I will return. Patients are sick or hurt and would prefer not to wait 3 to 4 hours to be seen, especially if I or others take time to make the appointment.. twice they took back two others that arrived with no appointment before those who were there first and had the appointment time. Seriously, this problem needs to be worked out. I have definitely told others to stay clear of this establishment. Either be a totally walk in clinic or take appointments.... don't do both!!!"
"I experienced the rudest receptionist ever. As soon as I walked in she tried her best to get me to leave and go somewhere else. She kept saying what a long wait I had. 1.5-2 hrs. I asked about waiting in the car and she said it was not advised. I would be skipped over. I was completely checked in and awaiting services when I was informed that without my HSA card I could not be seen. I explained that I would pay with a credit card or cash, I was informed that was not an option. Very unprofessional and rude. Every-time she answered the phone she told people it would be about a 3 hour wait. There were only 5 people in the waiting room. My first and last experience with Winchester First Care. You can do better Winchester First Care!"
"I was very pleased with my experience with First Care in Winchester. I had an appointment with First Care in Mount Sterling earlier in the day but the clerk said that my Medicare was being kicked back and I would have pay $35 copay. My copay is $0 with Medicare and insurance and either I pay or cancel. I canceled and rescheduled in Winchester. There was an issue with their system but the clerk in Winchester cared enough to work it out. She’s an angel. I was very pleased with my care with the doctor there also. So I’ll drive a little farther to go to the Winchester location from now on."
"The provider and student were the best. Very thorough and personable and communicated with each other and to me about when they would do what and be back in the room. Very good experience. Also called to let me know my pharmacy was closing soon to see if I’d like it called in somewhere that stays open late. Five STARS for sure."
