"We actually liked the provider at this office and we how quickly we were able to be seen at our appts and get labs done the same day on another floor, however, we unfortunately will not be returning to the office due to billing/coding issues and discrepancies in our medical charts/history. The office billed for two different visit codes for my preventative annual visit with no preexisting medical conditions or concerns, which is covered completely by insurance. But they also coded for an additional visit the same day that caused a bill to be due on my part. I called and spoke with someone regarding this issue and they agreed that it was a mistake and would be sent for review. The additional visit was eventually removed and I was not responsible for any additional payment to the office. My spouse also saw them about 6 weeks after me, also for a preventative annual visit with no preexisting medical conditions or concerns, and was coded for that and an additional visit stating they spent 40 minutes with him. This was his first time seeing the provider at this office and he had not filled out any paperwork prior to his appt. We were at the office for less than 30 minutes in total - including parking, him walking in, filling out paperwork, seeing the provider and having blood drawn on another floor and back out to the car - so to say 40 minutes was spent on a new patient that they didn’t have information on prior to the appt is not feasible. My spouse did call and speak with someone twice at the office regarding this issue but we continue to get bills for the “extra” visit code that did not actually occur. We ended up paying it just to be done with it and to not be sent to collections."
