"I really can't give a five star rating, even though the whole staff took care of my daddy very well in his last days of his life. He was moved from the regular hospital part to the hosparus care wing, which was a little better of an attitude towards me. However, there was one doctor in particular that was very rude to me during my time of sorrow by saying to me, "It's about time I made it to the hospital," and I told him, "That it was about time I was told!" My daddy had been in the hospital a week by the time I knew where he was. I was the only child left because my brother had passed away 25 years before that and there was only 2 of us. My parents have been divorced for 22 years, so my mother didn't know. That was extremely rude of him. There was a nurse that I had spoken to about a particular subject that I had believed would be kept confidential but she actually told my daddy's girlfriend and his sister about our conversation which was no one's business but the nurse and me. She broke HIPPA confidentially when she told those 2 what I talked to her about and I know about HIPPA laws (I went to ATA College) from my Medical Office Assistant diploma. That is one of the classes that's mandatory passing grade; my grade in that class was an A-. Everything else was excellent about the hospital including the palliative care team and how well my daddy was taken care of. (Formerly Baptist Hospital East) 4000 Kresge Way Louisville, KY. 40207 Everyone that I know that has to go to this hospital because of their insurance has had problems with the staff and the way they are treated here. They don't like how the staff is towards them and the way the treatment process is."
"I went to visit a friend who was admitted to the ER and moved to the towers they told me in the ER I had to use a phone on the wall to find out where she was moved. The phone didn't work well. So I asked how you get to the towers and they told me I had to go outside and walk around the building. After dodging traffic because there's no sidewalk I came to a door which was locked. I walked to the back of the building and was able to get in and ride an elevator up to the 5th floor. Two women at a nurse's station guided me to the correct room. After I was put down by her nurse and Ileft. I understand now why somebody jumped off the building after being discharged."
"This is a hospital that has been in the Louisville KY area for almost 50 years. They have worked to keep up with new technology and procedures in medicine. Baptist Health on Kresge Way is a modern 8 story building with nice clean rooms and a excellent staff of wonderful doctors and nurses who's goal is to get you well and back home with your family and friends."
"I was hospitalized over the course of 6 days before and after a surgery. None of my nurses ever seemed to know what was going on with me, weren't keeping accurate written records of timing on my pain medications, half of them were professional or polite but the other half seemed almost hostile for no reason? I'd ask for information, or tried to get paperwork I needed for work taken care of and got a bit of a run around over it. Had to ask nurses multiple times over the course of multiple days before they even took to register my insurance card, which was wild to me. A lot of the nurses and aids seemed to want to pass off anything you needed them for to somebody else. Nurses sent me home without my antibiotics. Only reason this is a 2 star instead of 1 is because my surgeon was professional, informative, and more helpful than the 15 nurses that cycled through me over the course of my stay."
"Well, itβs a hospital so it is what it is. Some staff is fabulous- some are not. Some Drs are so attentive and caring they bring tears to your eyes and some seem so heartless you wonder if they entered the profession just for the pay check because they give it a bad name. This facility sends to ALWAYS be under construction somewhere which is annoying so you gotta roll the dice and hope for the best!"
