"Great, flat cement trails at this picturesque park. A lot to see on the walking paths. Easy parking with access to a number of soccer fields."
"This has become our family's go-to park in the area. The trails are beautiful and well-defined. Plenty of wildlife to gawk at if you're into that sort of thing. A generous amount of parking as well with direct access to the Louisville Loop."
"Came to Pope Lick for the summer “Creature Feature” event and checked out the park as well. Beyond the urban legend this park is known for, the park itself is really beautiful. Wild flowers bloom along the entrance and display a bouquet of color. The park grounds have a lot of trails and signage clearly marks the routes. There is a nice park map which also helps navigate the large area Pope Lick covers. Soccer fields and ample parking make this an ideal spot to visit and host fun events like the one we attended. Plan to come back and explore more. (Just maybe not near the train bridge after dark)"
"I've had 2 scary and frustrating encounters with your park ranger who told me his name was Buddy. He was so aggressive with me on both encounters that I asked him to call the police because I'd rather speak to the police than to be yelled at by him so aggressively. He was so aggressive that I felt like he was looking for a physical fight with me which is why I wanted him to call the police to speak with me and I would have called the police on him if he wouldn't have left me alone. I don't feel comfortable going back to Pope Lick Park ever again which is where I used to host free soccer camps for children for 3 years (without being charged to use the facilities) and where I used to play soccer as a child and referee soccer games for over 10 years. I have been training soccer players at that park for over 15 years without needing a permit. In both encounters I was providing one on one soccer training to a soccer player on the Public Field that has a huge sign that says "PUBLIC FIELD. NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED." And the sign into the park says it's open from "DUSK TO DAWN.""
"This is one of my favorite parks to run. Very clean and well kept. Soccer fields are top notch and maintained well. The restroom is usually clean which is a huge plus compared to other park restrooms I’ve observed. The paths are beautiful and provides a wonderful experience whether you’re running, walking, or taking your dog for a walk."
