"Everything was good. Not in need of a remodel yet but for sure could use some freshening up in areas. Caulk in shower needs to be redone. Nothing was a deal breaker. Will be my preferred property next time I am in Alvarado. Stayed for 5 days. Front desk staff is SUPER friendly."

"First off we drove from Minnesota to the hotel straight though and we got in the day of check in around 9 am asked to check in early was told it would be 98.92 to check in 4 hours early into a room that was not occupied. Then get in the room and the room is very rundown for the price they charged. I would not recommend this to anyone that is looking for a spot to stay… also the asst. manger was very rude upfront to use when we got here… oh and the toilet only half worked."

"Well what was suppose to be a celebration of a wedding turned into a hotel nightmare. We arrived Thursday December 7th, the TVs were not working, a wonderful lady on the night shift came up and put in a ticket when she couldn't figure it out. Fine night one no working TV. Friday December 8th the maintenance man came first thing to fix but we had to leave and comeback. A few hours later we came back and TVs still were not working so they put in a ticket with Direct TV...THEY DID NOT OFFER TO MOVE US LIKE THEY ARE LYING ABOUT. Then while we are getting ready for the wedding they turn the water off with out alerting anyone. We just chalk it up as a bad experience until we get the final bill which they updated 2x. My daughter got temp dye on maybe a max of 4 towels...they first charged a additional $65 plus the $25 deposit then no they needed to updated the next day to $85 plus the $25 deposit. The day management are a bunch of lying, racist crooks. Tell me with 4 towels they needed to replace that would cost $110. Does bleach cost that much? Does a new cheap towel they use cost that much? So where is the credit for the tvs not working and shutting off the water? How is this good customer service when all you have been doing is changing how much you charge for 4 towels that got TEMP DYE on them? I would not stay here unless you want to get taken advantage of."

"Upon arriving, I turned on the light next to the bed and got shocked. Half of a plug that had gotten stuck in the socket and no one cared to remove it. Both nights that we stayed. There was someone homeless sleeping on the floor at the end of the second floor hallway causing my wife to not sleep comfortably. Informed the manager and all she said was. Oh, they normally sleep in the bathrooms. For a $130 a night. I would expect more.. I would not recommend this place to anybody."

"This was disappointing. Not all was bad but enough to get a three-star rating. The bed was comfortable, of course, however the shower was not as good as they normally are. The pressure was not very strong, and the shower head was all over the place. The room and bathroom were clean. The food was good, and they have a cool machine that makes wimpy looking pancakes. The pancakes are deceiving. The don't look very appetizing but are actually really good. The herbal tea selection was not very good. The reason for the one star on the service is due to the cleaning staff throwing away things on the bathroom counter they perceive as trash. We had a reuseable plastic looking bag that was not in the bathroom when we arrived back to our room after it had been cleaned. In my opinion, if it is not in the trash don't throw it away. Also, I had a very expensive cup ($100.00) that due to miscommunication on our part was left in the room. When I called the hotel about it, they stated that no one had turned anything in from that room. Very disappointed in the lack of integrity and honesty. Yes, we left the cup, but mistakes happen, and others should not be dishonest and take advantage of that. I would like to know who cleaned that room though. Lastly there is a lot of construction on the roads around the hotel. Not the hotels' fault but you might want to consider that if you are going any time soon."
