"maids only work for a couple hours in the daytime, if you are working nights don't expect to get your room cleaned ever. always full and parking is terrible. with that being said everything works in the rooms and the front desk workers are courteous and proficient."
"Room was nice, but the TV didn't work. The water pressure was terrible and they didn't serve breakfast."
"--PROS: Good location, fairly clean room (except the utensils..), and restaurants within walking distance --CONS: Very hit-or-miss front desk (if they are even are there), the halls and room smelled like grease and/or cigarette smoke, not honoring the reserved room type initially, and nonchalance about missing amenities This hotel is in a convenient location and appears relatively standard from the outside. Unfortunately, that was not to be the case for my stay. I booked using points a few days in advance, confirming a single queen bed room. Upon arrival, I was given a double bed - which is not ideal but I didn't want to complain. After getting to my room, which was clean enough, I noticed that the TV channels didn't work at all. I called the front desk, no answer, so I went downstairs. Once downstairs, after I waited for one of the other guests to finish chatting up the staff, I explained my issue and was told "oh, yeah, none of the TVs are working - they'll need to bring in a new chip or something." That would've been nice to know on check-in so I could make other plans. No ETA on a fix (weekends = no maintenance, I assume). I spent the night trying to watch Netflix on my phone instead of using the TV in my room. Unfortunate, but whatever. The next morning I asked the front desk if there was any update on the fix. They had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently, some of the other rooms had semi-functioning TVs - just not my room. I asked to be switched to a new room and they placed me in a single queen room, like I had booked initially, where the TV would supposedly work. I appreciate that staff member's flexibility but wondered why I was given inaccurate info the day before. Getting to my new room, I was immediately overcome with the strong smell of food/grease (I guess?) and considered Door Dash-ing some Febreeze to make it more livable. Turned on the TV and, what do you know, only two channels worked. Tired, I just accepted it and unpacked again. In addition, the wall thermostat did not work. Awesome. Later that night, I went downstairs to buy some food from the pantry and no one was at the front desk for the few minutes I waited and repeatedly said "Hello??" The wait for front desk staff to arrive happened a few times. Frustrated, I left to my smelly room again. Overall, I wish I had immediately booked another hotel upon check-in - my colleagues two hotels over had no issues with their stays. My luggage still smells like the room."
"I'm a IHG member and have been referring friends working in the area to this hotel for all amenities offered but the biggest complaint I am hearing is that the laundry room only 1 washer and dryer working. This is a big problem due to the fact these workers are away from home and on their time off need to wash clothes. Please address this issue."
"Very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. I was in town on business and this Candlewood suites was conveniently located. The building seems to be new and the furnishings are all very nice. The room was clean and well stocked. Like most hotels now there is no room cleaning and for the three nights I was there, I never saw any staff cleaning rooms (I was on the first floor). There are a couple of restaurants right across the street which made it easy for dinner since I did not have a car. The coffee available in the cupboard was a nice bonus too. Will stay here again next time I am in town."
