They provided beautiful hickory shelves for our living room, hickory mantles for our fireplace, and are working on a live edge dining room table for us. I only wish I had the woodworking setup that Butler Adams has. They mill and kiln dry their own wood. And they can finish very large pieces of wood. Butler Adams Hardwoods has dozens of species of dimensional lumber as well as large live edge slabs. If they don’t have what you need on hand, they’ll get it. Best of all, it’s all American made, sustainable, and locally owned. Their customer service can’t be beat. "BLUF: These guys care deeply about making you happy. Slabs are excellent quality, and they accommodate the CUSTOMER. BACKSTORY: I made the 1.5 hour trip from Clarksville to check this place out on Good Friday. I did not realize they were closed because of the holiday. When I arrived there was a gentlemen working and he told me they were closed. I was immediately unhappy. Long drive, and the google schedule showed open. He said I could look around, so I did. I was introduced to "Critter," the name of the resident craftsman who makes all of their custom furniture. He proceeded to show me their showroom, and his work area and we had about an hour chat about woodworking and the like. I ended up buying 6 slabs, and a set of table legs. They cut me a bit of a deal on the legs because I drove so far on their day off, and they called Alicia in to ring me up. I have been looking for another source for slabs for my woodworking business and I have found it. The pricing was more than fair. And they run the full gambit of getting you what you want. They will even kiln dry slabs you bring them! Special shout out to Critter. This guy has 35 years experience and is a wealth of information. He truly has a passion for his craft."

They spent a lot of time showing me their selections and letting me look and feel. Although I was not buying much lumber on this trip I was treated like I was a long time valued customer.
