"I’ve been a life long member and been to several locations. I used to love it his particular location but it has just been taking a downward turn and the directors are the reason. Most are inexperienced to have their director jobs, most of them have never even held a job related to what they are directing and if they have this branch would be running so much better. Fund raising events cancelled, most of the staff is miserable and most hate their jobs because of bad or inept leadership. It should be a great job for a high school kid or a college kid. The senior population has dwindled down, they have gone to other locations around Kingwood like lifetime fitness or Project fitness…. If anyone at the YMCA corporate headquarters took the time to come and talk to members and see what the issues are and why members are leaving. I feel they’d be surprised. Top donors kids need to stop get preferential treatment from directors. Members joke as we don’t know who follows who around. But allowing those donors kids to be decision makers and have jobs of importance is a joke."

"Favorite thing is NO music or commercials or anything played over the speakers in the weight room upstairs or the functional weight room downstairs. Love the silence. Makes it calm, enjoyable, and easy to hear my headphones of my audiobook or podcast. Been going to gyms for 25 years and appreciate less noise. It is a fancy facility thanks to the upgrades in recent years post hurricane Harvey. Started going here again December 2023 short term."

"YMCA: Please read my update on the The Flag football program was horrible. Practice times were incorrect. Game times were incorrect. Games cancelled without emails to parents. Referees not showing up. Field was not chalked. Management does not return phone calls or emails. The kids did not receive any medals. Teams were not balanced. One team had 8 players. Another team had 13. Its too bad because it used to be a good program. Update. Update: The "owner' responded to my review and stated that the manager would contact me. However, the manager has made several promises to to talk to me but nothing. He has also given me his direct phone number in which I left numerous messages. It's been several days and I still am waiting to talk to him. This is a typical problem that we have had with the flag Football program. There must be a significant problem because we have never had such a ordeal as this. I'm at the point that I will only talk to the owner. Please look it up ASAP and call me."

"I am very impressed with the YMCA experience. They have helped me to lose 213 lbs. With positive experiences with the entire staff. They all make your experience a truly delightful journey. The teachers in water aerobics and zumba let you dance your pounds off. You can get your black line therapy in one of the many lanes in the pool. The Gym area has been a serious commitment for me, I spend 2 - 3 hours there daily. There is a personal trainer during the day. And a staff members around all the time to help."

"So beautiful after the grand reopening! Been a member for a few months during their renovations. The staff has been consistently helpful. It's always so clean. Plenty of GroupEx classes. The childcare got an amazing upgrade and has so much fun stuff for little ones to enjoy. My kids are looking forward to the summer camp programs."
