Family Dollar

"My male black son went to this location to inquire about a job ( that he had already spoken to the store manager about) and was accused of stealing by the assistant manager with zero evidence. When the manager came out instead of getting to the bottom of the accusations,he pretty much took his assistants word without ever finding out if it was true. Unfortunate that this store believes that all black young men steal but my child isn't one of them. I will also be filing a complaint with the corporate office because for this store to be near urban housing, as well as have a black manager, this incident never should have happened the way it did. Now me as a parent would not allow my son to work here ( nor does he feel he'll be treated fairly if he did )and would advise all other young black men and parents to think twice. It's bad when you can't even go into your local store and not be accused of something you didn't do. I will not spend another dollar here and will from now on drive out of my way just to avoid ever shopping at this location."

"This store is always dirty. The shelves always need restocked and new merchandise is always in the aisle on the floor. It's only one cashier all the time. This store is poorly managed."

"Where do I start. Ok, so I went this family dollar store on Shelby rd. in Everman. * the manager and other employees had their friends there and were talking loudly while ringing up customers. * I was buying some psyllium. I noticed that they were ringing up at $8.50. I told the manager that the sign/sticker said $3.50. I was told that I have to buy them at the price they were ringing up and that was company policy. *like others have said, this store is basically open when it wants to be, during business hours. *I went there some other times and they have loud rap music on with cursing and n#$%a this and n#$%a that. This store is Terrible!!!! Something needs to be done about this place. They will never get any of my money again. I am thoroughly disappointed. Also, this has to be one of the nastiest stores I have been to, inside and out. There is so much trash in and around that place I would think it's a dump yard. I would rather drive a little further to go to any other store. It's sad but I really don't think anyone reads these reviews and makes changes."

"To the Owner or Store Manager Your employees open and close the store whenever they want they're not going by schedule. You should be looking for new employees. I shop at this store alot and many times I drove to the store to grab a few items and the door happened to be closed just a little after 9 P.M, and I've seen people walking to your store for 15-20 minutes and have to walk back home or walk a little further to Dollar General. So please change your working hours or change your employees."
