"I will never come back here again. I came to Office Depot for ink cartridges and they didn't have the Canon brand ink I needed. So I took the opportunity and bought the Office Depot brand ink cartridges that are compatible with Canon. Biggest mistake ever. After being asked if I wanted to sign up, I politely declined, the employee didn't take no for an answer and tried to get me to sign up again for 10% off which I declined as well. So they didn't ring me up until I gave my name, zip code, and email. After being irritated I got home and opened the ink cartridges and they were ALL busted. Each was individually wrapped and ink seeped through the plastic baggies each one came in. I assumed that this item/ the ink cartridges were defective at this point. No way I can put those in my printer. I of course went back and tried to do a refund. At the time of my refund, the same employee gave me a rude look before even ringing me up and said "I will only give you a refund this once." Very Unprofessional. They showed me the policy of only UNOPENED items can be refunded. They asked if I wanted an exchange when I politely said no, I did not want to purchase this brand again because of the item in front of them. After the "one-time only refund," the employee took the ink cartridges, taped the box up, and put the back on the shelf (by the front counter) for resale as if the item was not defective or had anything wrong with it. Never again will I shop here."
"Was buying 3x 200 in Visa gift cards because I was told by a friend there was a sale that effectively negated the activation fees, which makes it a great deal for presents compared to store-specific gift cards. There was no sale sign at local OD, so I asked the cashier and she told me the sale definitely applied yesterday, but we’d have to see if the system applied the discount because she didn’t know for sure. Told her I’d not buy w/out the discount, then I got distracted by a phone call while she was processing and they charged me the full price $623.75 no discount applied. Store manager refused to take a return on the spot, although it’s totally the cashier’s fault because I specifically requested to check for discount before charging me."
"I called ahead and spoke with Zachary on the phone in Printing. I had questions about getting a stack of spiral-bound papers. Once I arrived, he remembered our call and helped me quickly. I wasn't sure if I could include laminated pages, and he explained why the machine couldn't (jamming), and I felt heard. Then, he came up with a solution and got it done quickly. It was perfect, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. He was also very friendly and personable. This isn't my normal Office Depot location, but thanks to Zachary, it will be! Bonus, parking was easy, the store looked great, and I will be back!"
"Had an exceptional experience at my local Office Depot. Went in for toner. No inventory in the toner isle for the one I needed. Talked with manager at checkout who offered a different packaging solution. He found what I needed and matched the price! This manager took extra time to provide me a solution. It's rare in today's world to find this level of customer service. They've really locked down my future business! Thank you!"
"They filled my online order quickly but pick up was ridiculous. I pulled into the designated spot, and checked in online. After waiting between 5-10 minutes I called the phone number to make sure they knew I was there because I know sometimes online systems malfunction. On the call they said they were swamped and would be out in a few seconds. I waited 10 more minutes before just going inside. One associate was just standing at their counter, one had one customer, and there were 2 people in line at checkout. I told the open associate why I was there and asked where the online orders were. They apologized and said again that they were swamped, showed me where they were but couldn't find my order. I found it myself, grabbed it, and left. Please either provide a realistic wait time (online and/or over the phone), immediately tell the customer to come in, don't offer curbside, or pause between in store customers to run an order out."
