"Water softeners. My second stay and I can overlook the not so cleanliness and the lingering smell of sweat and urine but I draw the line at water softeners. I need a shower after the shower I had at this hotel. I don't believe they used softeners when I stayed here months ago because I would have never returned. I'm completely dissatisfied disappointed and dirtier after this stay. Usually hotels that use this are way cheaper but I still refuse to stay at them. I actually will pay more for hotels that DO NOT USE WATER SOFTENERS. My guess is that this la quinta will have lower rates coming soon just like the others."

"Floor is peeling up. Front desk number is 0 but doesn't ring. Breakfast was 7am-10am but when we came down at 8 the door was locked. Shower had almost no water pressure and tub was deathly slippery when the soft water, soap, and the slick floor was mixed. Mattress had me waking up multiple times throughout the night shuffling around and finding a way to avoid back pain. This being a "2 star" hotel is a stretch. Just spend the extra 50 bucks and go somewhere that will actually feed you, service you the way they say they will, and provide a decent sleeping arrangement. Elevator buttons also don't work sometimes and reeks of weed. Hope you're not trying to leave the hotel around rush hour because it will take 20 minutes to get out of the area."

"Went here on break to see the spurs and bucks with my family. I was initially ok with the conditions but once me and my family settled in we found many problems. First, our key wasn’t working and the clerk told us “it’s the weather”. Second when we got in it had a. questionable smell. Has a TV and a fridge but fridge doesn’t work and TV is a tad bit outdated but works nonetheless. The beds only have 1 blanket, with stains on it. Bathroom was worse. Bugs were flying around and getting in cloths. I sat on the chair in the living room and i saw 3 bugs on it. There is roaches in here……. chairs have stains on it , woods has mysterious sticky liquid on it. This was my first time in Texas and it ruined the experience completely. Do better."

"You get what you pay for. The rooms were not as clean as I would have liked. If you walk around barefoot your feet will eventually have dirt caked on them. Had to request a different room because our first one had a horrible smell that stung your nose after a while, pretty sure it was ammonia from urine. The lady at the front desk was nothing but sweet and helpful! The breakfast was great. You can tell they don’t clean the rooms very well as we found two pieces of clothes behind the mattress by the headboard. Makes me wonder if the sheets were changed. I really hope they were. All in all, don’t be stingy and try to spend a little more money on something that’s worth your stay."
