"I’ll admit I’ve been stewing on this for a while. I got gynecomastia surgery in 2021, it had been affecting me so horribly and I was already suffering from severe anxiety. It was my way out. The nurse made me feel so comfortable, she’s honestly one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in a medical setting. I had the surgery, did what I was supposed to do, and the results were incredible. I felt so much better about myself after I began healing. I went back to talk to Dr. Thornton about a year later, to plan a revision. The surgery wasn’t bad, it just needed to be fine-tuned. I was comfortable, I’d been here before, I went into the room to wait for him. This seems like a great review right? He came in and made me feel so low, I can barely describe it without going back to that day. He had never treated me like that before. I had lost about 40 pounds since the surgery, and thought I was at a good pace. Apparently I wasn’t, and he was not shy about letting me know. I felt totally out of place and completely uncomfortable. This might have just been an isolated incident, but when I say I wanted to cry and made the decision to never step foot in that office again, I mean it. My intimacy, happiness, and overall self worth has plummeted since that visit. I wasted my money, and I’ll never go back. I don’t want anyone from the office, especially the doctor, to reach out. I just want to let him know how bad I felt. I’ll get a revision eventually, but not from this office. I’ll go out of pocket somewhere else. Thank you for your time."
