"The lady that helped me was nice and was helpful on picking out what all I wanted! The cookies I got for a Valentines gift were a hit!"
"What a gem, great service, great food and a terrifically decorated store. Definitely enjoyed stopping in here for lunch. My sandwich was freshly made to order and tasted great. Staff were considerate and helpful. Such a shame this place is so far from home, I’d love to have something like this nearby."
"Great pastries and cookies. Best vanilla wafers in the country."
"An absolute MUST stop when you’re in Slaton! We’ve been coming here for years and we love it. Friendly staff and such delicious baked goods, cookies, donuts, cinnamon rolls, donut holes… you make it, they bake it and it’s delicious!"
"I read about the Slaton Bakery in the Texas Monthly. I was compelled to stop for a visit while on a road trip from Texas to Arizona. The staff was helpful and quick to wait on me. They offered several samples for me to try. The buttery vanilla wafers were my favorite. I tried the ginger snaps and the sugar cookie which was very good. I purchased a package of vanilla wafers to take home and used them to make banana pudding since they gave me the recipe. On the spicy savory side check out the delicious trail mix. I would recommend you stop and enjoy a sweet treat, savory treat and a bit of history."
