"Absolutely incredible service from Jamal and Kristy. We came in for the week visiting family and had some lower back tension. Kristy (a certified prenatal therapist) did a fantastic job with my wife. Jamal gave a GREAT deep tissue for my lower back/sciatica pain. Definitely coming back every time when I visit family!"
"Last week I enjoyed my second massage at Hand and Stone and have nothing but compliments to share. Had a different therapist each time. Both were very well trained and skilled. This was especially helpful on the second visit when I had a lot of "knots" around my shoulder blades: she really worked out a lot of soreness. Looking forward to next appointment."
"Highly recommend Hand and Stone at the Overton location. Ask for Jamal for deep tissue massage... he is the best I've had in a very long time. I have never felt so good coming out of a massage. Highly, highly recommend. You won't be sorry!!"
"I'm completely baffled as to why there are so many negative reviews especially when Hand and Stone's policies are on their website AND on the intake form that the client is required to fill out upon arrival. It makes me wonder if they cannot read or just simply not paying attention to what they sign. As someone who has been working in the industry for over 20 years and has been getting massages at Hand and Stone for over 8 years, here's my review. Last night, I had a massage from Angela. She was professional, listened to my concerns, the table was warm, she checked on me throughout my massage, and perfect pressure. I highly recommend her! Having said that, yes, Hand and Stone requires a credit card to be on file. This is a common practice within 90% of the spa industry. Yes, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy where you are charged a fee should you cancel your appointment. This fee pays for the technician that is missing out on the income that they are not making, (not including the tip they are also missing out on). They try and get that cancelled appointment rebooked, but if the client does it on such short notice, then it's impossible to get it rebooked. Client's do not realize that this is their lively hood, it pays their mortgage, car payment, utilities, etc. Age restrictions, gift card policies, membership policies, that is all listed on the Hand and Stone website as well as on the forms the client's sign. The spa enhancement prices are also on website in addition in the spa itself. The reviews are not actual paid reviews. This particular location gives a discount ($10 I think?) off of a spa enhancement in hopes that it will entice the client to try a new service, especially if it's a little more expensive than what they would normally spend. So, it's a win/win situation. I highly recommend the mini cold stone facial or the Himalayan hot stone massage. SOOOO RELAXING!"
"Lily did my facial and did an amazing job! She was gentle and communicative throughout the process. She gave me amazing tips. She continued to ask if I was ok and my face felt amazing after. Thanks Lily"
