"I really liked coming here. They were really good in services and food. I didn't mind the 28mins drive. But, lately their services and food has been on the decline. I am really hoping for them to pick up. My recent order of fried stock fish was so dry, I had to throw is away. You hike your prices yet, can't hike up the services and food."
"The owner is very intentional when it comes to excellence in customer service. I can see they are striving to be better everyday in providing excellent service. Keep up the good work. The hygiene standard of the restaurant is impressive. Somebody is either checking the temperature of the food hourly and documenting it which is something l don’t see in most African restaurant. The staff wear hand gloves while serving you food except a young guy who does not like to wear gloves. I have to remind him everytime he is serving my food. You guys would have gotten my five stars. There is always one staff that does not value the effort or system of excellence the owners are striving to put in place. Overall Wazobia is still my #1 place to shop"
"Tasty meals, very tasty pastries. I’m a regular customer, i doordash the meals and pastries all the time so Im gonna be truthful and I hope y’all see this review. The reason for the 3 stars is the sudden price increase and reducing the size of pastries. I have no problem with the increase in price to be honest. But why reduce the size after increasing the price. Now the pastries are not worth it. I just got them again today and it pissed me off. Do something about it please. This can make me stop patronizing and I don’t even want to but y’all are not standing out anymore from other African restaurants like you used to. Fix it"
"I order catering dishes from their kitchen but unfortunately they have continually reduced their quantity and it doesn’t match the price point. They don’t pay attention to order requests and just fulfill orders as they deem fit. You call to complain but they don’t care to resolve the issues. They’re gradually lowering their standards"
"Wazobia African Market is one of the best, if not the best African Markets/Store I've shopped at in Houston. I will be rating them on 3 particular areas. (1) Cleanliness (2) Price (3) Availability of stocks (4) Professionalism 1). Cleanliness: For the size of this store, I appreciate the fact that it is kept very clean, someone is always cleaning up something. It is a place we get food from, cleanliness should be a priority. 2). Price: Apart from a few items like the healthy fufu alternatives, the prices of items are quite affordable, they're not cheap, but affordable. 3). Stock Availability: Items are quite available most of the times I've been there. For example I buy puffpuff for my family and even at 8pm I could even see some left. I would say my favorite plantain chips (Mr John's- comes in a clear and yellow pack) is not as available as one would like. The type that's usually available isn't as soft as Mr John's, its quite dry (it comes in clear and green pack). Nevertheless, when Mr John's in stock, a get like 7, just in case. Most other items are usually readily available. 4). Professionalism: I know for certain, the owner must have drilled Professionalism into the workers because they are always on point. I've been to some other African/Nigerian stores and it feels like they're doing you a favor when its you giving them business. At Wazobia, the customer service is stellar. All in all, I would give them a 5 star, check them out, trust me after one visit, you'd make them your regular African store."
