"So here's a secret get there early in the morning the afternoon will be a crowd. This has all your Louisiana needs the cracklins and chicken cracklins were both good even the next day. We got a king cake that was also very good as well as sausage and boudin. Now there are a few things they don't have or offer from some of the other Louisiana stores and they are a bit pricey that's the only reason for the 4 stars. But I understand you don't have to drive the 4 to 6 hours either to get your cracklins fix. With that being said I will stop here again it's a 2.5 hour drive from where we live but we are in Katy alot or at least passing through so I would definitely recommend stopping in for sure."

"Went here today and it was an excellent shopping experience. They had a wide variety of different Cajun foods and speciality items. They offer hot food as well with a lot of seemingly delicious items. I opted for the smoked boudin and the pork cracklings. The boudin though, was mushy to me. The flavor was ‘ok’ but the texture, I didn’t like. The cracklings were cooked to perfection but lacked flavor. They were expensive as well; $25 per pound!! I bought a lot of other items to cook at home and I just hate I bought a whole box of the smoked boudin because now I know that it has a mushy texture that I don’t like. The lines moved fast, everyone was friendly and prices were not low but also not high. The prices were reasonable."

"We are so excited this is in Katy! We ALWAYS go and stock up at the original in Scott, LA. The red beans and rice, pork cracklings and boudin is so good to just buy at counter. The pepper jack boudin balls are amazing. We love the sausages. We actually asked about a specific sausage at this location that we had in Scott and he told us to come back in the morning, in which we did and they made it fresh for us right then and there. The staffing is very friendly! We absolutely will be back! Again, so happy you are in Katy!"

"Best Stop Katy is a MESS Stop! I waited 45 minutes for 2 bowls of bland, watery, chicken & sausage gumbo. It does not even taste as good as Campbell's gumbo in a can. It also resembles raw sewage! My first bite contained a piece of sausage, broth and a big chunk of something gelatinous (chicken fat?). I'm not going back."

"We were so excited to find out that we didn't have to go to Scott, LA. To get our favorite things! Service Everyone was so friendly, and the staff was quick with orders. The only thing is there was nothing telling where the line started, so customers were a little confused. Food For us to have come around 6pm and they close at 8, the food was fresh. Smoked boudin was great. Roll ups were good and crispy. The chicken cracklin could have used some more seasoning like they do in LA. All in all....EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! We'll be back. Ambience Super inviting. Tons of space to sit down with your family and eat. I accidentally deleted the other menu but they do have pork and chicken cracklin, boudin, and roll ups"
