Cidercade Austin

"Cidercade is an activity center and a bit of sensory overload. It is jam packed with pin ball machines, video games, many from the 90’s and 00’s including Guitar Hero, Area 51, Big Buck, NBA Jams, etc as well as a few more rigorous games likes skeeball, pop shot basketball and air hockey. I would say everything is in okay quality, not good, not bad. There is a door person upon entrance collecting a $12.99 fee for unlimited play and braceleting those 21+. Kiddos are welcome but get booted at 8 pm. The food selection includes thin crust pizza, pizza rolls (looked like stromboli), two salad options, and smoked wings. I opted to split the greek salad and a pizza with a friend, it was the perfect amount of food. The salad was good and pizza was decent. There is soda for $4 all you can drink with a ton of flavors like blueberry and pink drink. For alcohol, there are 24 ciders on tap, no other options. There are a good number of tables inside and out. You can reserve space ahead of time as well. PSA: Read their FAQ page for a good time!"

"I wasn't expecting this place to be so cool! It had all the arcade games from my childhood, like Area 51, Pac-Man, and Time Crisis. The arcade was incredibly clean, and the entrance fee was super cheap, I think it was around $15 to play all night. And, to top it off, the pizza was amazing! Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and playing those old games brought back a flood of childhood memories. Thanks again, and I'll definitely be back!"

"I can only give this place a 2 star rating because the handicap bathroom for woman is closed off, door is taped shut. I had to park my mobility scooter right outside a stall, and have my daughter help me into the stall, which is small and has no hand rails/bars to hold on to. These bars are a "must" for many like myself. Unfortunately, that was a bad experience. The food was ok, pizza had way too much garlic. I wish they had a few more choices. On a positive note, there are a good variety of pizzas to choose from. I did not like the fountain drinks they have available, they are not the usual Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, etc. If I had known this, I would have brought a drink from the outside. I did try several of the fountain drinks and did not like any of them. This place is a true arcade and great for those who enjoy playing these games at a good price. They are many games to choose from. My grandkids enjoyed themselves. If you eat on the patio, you have a beautiful view of downtown Austin and the river. There are four of us, so with good and games, we spent a little over $100."

"I visited Austin from Indianapolis, IN and absolutely loved the Cidercade! They have a fantastic variety of retro arcade games, including many I've never seen before, like Naughty Boy and Domino Man. And, all of the pinball is free! I'm a one-drink person and chose the Sweet Tart cider. It was tasty to the last drop. The patio is a great place to take a break and view Lady Bird Lake. I will return someday whenever I make it back to Austin!"
