"Lovely evening walk in early January at sunset. This is a fab place to get photos of the city. Very safe for a solo female traveler, easy walk and a total breeze with nothing steep and it was not muddy or slippery. Definitely an activity which travelers / backpackers on a low budget could do for free. Easy to get to from the main downtown and bars of Austin afterwards. Couldn't find any bathrooms on the trail but the auditorium should have some- otherwise the bushes would be a good option when its dark!"
"Had a good recent experience here. The views are fantastic, perfect for NYE which was the reason we visited. There were quite a lot of people in the area so parking was rare to find. Nevertheless, if you plan accordingly and well ahead of time, you might just have a good time."
"Absolutely love this place. Been going since I was a kid and they only had the hill and the splash pad. Now I take my son and it’s more than I could’ve ever expected it would be. Definitely wish we had it when we were kids, but it’s great telling them how much it’s changed. Plus I’ll Always want better for the generations to come and they very much made it better!"
"This was a great experience with the family. However, I recommend wearing layers, as it got warm after skating. I also suggest bringing your own snacks and hot drinks. The only negative here would be the bathrooms. They definitely need to clean them more often."
"Magnificent place to walk or just find a bench and sit. Don’t bring a scooter they are not welcome or allowed. See Stevie Ray see the wildlife see the lake see the paddlers see the bats watch the sunrise but don’t miss the sunset"
