"Tons of fun for 80’s babies. Picking out the toys you had when you were a kid. The free play games are in good condition. The best part is the scavenger hunt. Plenty challenging and keeps you hanging out for a while! Hidden gem of Austin."
"You know how you would have your bedroom and then your parents would yell at you to clean up, and you would say it is clean, and they point out that everything is everywhere, and you say that it is all where you know it is, and there would be a slight fuss? This amazing establishment is that moment in time after your first talking back, and before it goes further. If this is the curator's intention? I don't know. But I for one appreciated it. The amount of gems to play on the arcades, consoles, and pinball machines is incredible. The displays are all clearly handcrafted with attention to detail that you won't find at other museums. The amount of toys and games and cabinets and otherwise is amazing. I really enjoyed it. The only thing that would make it better would be if the owner had a technician on hand with the same passion and technical knowhow to keep some machines in better working order (funky joystick here, mushy button there, pinball machine bits, etc). I think any neuro-atypical person that grew up in the 80s and or 90s would love it, and the others that grew up then might have some fun too lol."
"Nostalgia for sure... every toy we grew up with could now be seen by my kids for what real toys were compared to their stuff lol. It's not very interactive with TV screens showing random clips of the cartoons or commercials of the toys but there are a lot of old school video games to play for free! Truthfully the displays could be organized and displayed a little better as they are just cluttered together. It's not super big inside for the amount of toys they have. The entrance fee is a little high but we got a good amount of time in there for sure."
"I flew into Austin and had a few hours to waste before checking into my hotel. I’m so happy I found this place. It’s very affordable and so so cool. I forgot how much I enjoyed playing pinball. The toy collection is impressive too, full of nostalgia. I wish something like this was near me"
"Super fun time. Brings you back in you lived in the 80s and 90s. A couple things could be cleaner but they have some really cool things. Play unlimited games for $17. I wanted to stay longer but definitely worth checking it out."
