Reviews of Selfiemade Escape Room - Austin
"Everyone giving this place good reviews has never been to a high quality escape room. The guy who explained the rules could not have been speaking any faster or unclear. He didn’t enunciate so didn’t pick up anything he said. He brought us to a room and then the timer just started. There’s no objective or theme other than get out of the room. The puzzles aren’t intuitive and are so poorly maintained. One of the doors didn’t open and the game guide told us to do it again, still didn’t work. Then he came in and instead of having a key or a backup solution to opening the door, his plan was to just do the puzzle again with us. The guides also give you clues, without asking, when they think you’re falling behind. I’ve done a lot of escape rooms in the US and Canada and this is by far the worst escape room I’ve ever been to."
"Very unique kind of escape room. More creative and colorful than the other ones we've been to. We escaped with 4 minutes left. Earned a glass of bubbles and access to the museum. Highly recommend!"
"One of the hardest escape rooms I’ve done but the Game Master was phenomenal! Highly recommend Christian! From the front, it may not look like your average escape room, but it’s super fun (and hard) when you enter. The Night at the Museum Room can be done with two people, but be sure to use your magnets wisely!"
"Such a fun experience! It is located inside a historic downtown building which was really cool how they renovated the place. One of the owner’s Alex was our guide. He was awesome. We did the Night at the Museum escape room. The puzzles are interactive and challenging. I loved how hands on the puzzles were. After we escaped with a few hints we went upstairs, and spent a good while in the Selfie Studio which was insanely cool. Overall a 10/10. Great place to hang with friends for a few hours and have a lot of laughs! Thanks Alex and Margaryta!"
